The N-Y Historical Society has announced the following upcoming exhibitions. All exhibitions are presented at the New-York Historical Society unless otherwise noted.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for the Alley Theatre's production of November. November features Alley Theatre Resident Actors Jeffrey Bean as President Charles Smith, James Belcher as The Representative of the National Association of Turkey and Turkey Products, Elizabeth Bunch as Clarice Bernstein, David Rainey as Dwight Grackle, and Todd Waite as Archer Brown. November, by David Mamet and directed by Sanford Robbins, begins performances tonight, August 24, opens officially Wednesday, August 29, and runs through Sunday, September 23 on the Neuhaus Stage.

ACME, the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, will give the first performance of the complete string quartets of Steve Reich together on the same concert on Tuesday, September 11 at 7:30pm (doors 6:30pm) at Le Poisson Rouge(158 Bleecker Street).

Produced in conjunction with Seattle Opera, the artists in the Seattle Public Theater Youth Program have been beating out the complex rhythms and singing the hypnotic strains of Stephen Sondheim's modern musical classic. The six free performances run tonight, August 17, 18, 19, 24 and 25 at the historic Bathhouse Theater on Green Lake.

Hunter Bell, OBIE Award-winning bookwriter of SILENCE! The Musical, along with David Garrison, Jenn Harris, Randy Harrison and the entire cast, unveiled the delicious strawberry dessert treat Hannibal Nectar on Friday, August 10th at the Times Square Tasti D-Lite. Winner of the 2012 Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical, SILENCE! The Musical the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, will open a Los Angeles company with performances beginning August 31, at the Hayworth Theatre. This engagement marks the West Coast Premiere of the Off-Broadway hit. The press opening is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2012. SILENCE! The Musical is produced by Theater Mogul.

The first tenant at the Elektra Theatre is the transfer of the award-winning smash Off-Broadway hit, SILENCE! The Musical. The festivities will begin with a 6 PM cocktail hour, attended by Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Kara Lindsay and the cast of Broadway's NEWSIES. There will be an 8:30 after party immediately following the 7 PM performance of SILENCE! The Musical.

From Thursday, October 25 through Saturday, October 27 at 7:30 PM, OUT COLD/ZIPPO SONGS-a double-bill of dramatic song cycles with music and lyrics by Phil Kline (Unsilent Night,John the Revelator)-will be presented as part of BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music)'s 30th Next Wave Festival, in a co-production with American Opera Projects (AOP).
