SILENCE! THE MUSICAL Launches New Website Today

The producers of the Off-Broadway smash SILENCE! The Musical, launched an exciting new website today, April 26th. At the newly revamped and redesigned SilenceTheMusical.com, visitors will now find loads of reviews and updated news about the show, in addition to constantly changing interactive features. Repeat Airings Set for SILENCE! Star David Garrison on TV Guide Network, 4/26 & 27

David Garrison, currently starring as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the Off-Broadway smash SILENCE! The Musical, will appear on two repeat broadcasts of TV Guide Network's reunion show, "The Cast of Married With Children: Where Are They Now" tonight (April 26th) at 11 PM and tomorrow (April 27th) at 7 PM (check local listings for channel).

Force/Collision Opens NAUTICAL YARDS Tonight

The new Washinton D.C.-based arts collective force/collision has two upcoming shows, THE NAUTICAL YARDS from tonight, April 26 through April 29 and SHAPE Septemeber 20 to October 6 in D.C. and then in New York at La Mama ETC November 10-18.

SILENCE! THE MUSICAL's David Garrison to Appear on TV Guide Network Tonight

Broadway and television favorite David Garrison, currently starring as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the Off-Broadway smash SILENCE! The Musical, will appear on tonight's (April 23rd) TV Guide Network reunion show, "The Cast of Married With Children: Where Are They Now" at 9 PM (check local listings for channel).

MUSIC/WORDS Continues 4/22 at Cornelia Street Cafe

Music/Words (www.musicwordsnyc.com), an interdisciplinary series founded and curated by NYC- based pianist Inna Faliks (www.innafaliks.com), continues its fourth season on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 6:00 pm with a performance at New York's Cornelia Street Cafe featuring Faliks and guest pianist Clarice Assad at the piano along with soprano Samantha Malk and poet Irina Mashinski.

Music/Words Presents Concert Featuring Clarice Assad & Inna Faliks With Samantha Malk, 4/22

Music/Words (www.musicwordsnyc.com), an interdisciplinary series founded and curated by NYC- based pianist Inna Faliks (www.innafaliks.com), continues its fourth season on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 6:00 pm with a performance at New York's Cornelia Street Cafe featuring Faliks and guest pianist Clarice Assad at the piano along with soprano Samantha Malk and poet Irina Mashinski. The program will explore the sensuousness of early Schoenberg (with the Stefan Georgy poetry used in the songs), along with the passion of Mashinski's poetry and Assad's Brazilian music. The program includes Schoenberg's Drei Klavierstucke, opus 11; his songs from Book of Hanging Gardens; and various improvisations by Ms. Assad based on Brazilian piano music. The Cornelia Street Cafe (www.corneliastreetcafe.com) is located at 29 Cornelia Street, Greenwich Village, NYC. LIASONS Honors Sondheim at Symphony Space Today

After nearly a year of previews throughout the U.S. and Canada, LIAISONS: Re-Imagining Sondheim from the Piano featuring internationally renowned contemporary pianist Anthony de Mare comes to New York City's Symphony Space for one night only on April 21st.

Corbin Bleu, Telly Leung and the entire cast of Broadway's Godspell attended SILENCE! The Musical at P.S. 122 this past Wednesday, April 18th. Also in the audience was Broadway favorite Eden Espinosa, who played Elphaba opposite SILENCE! star David Garrison in Wicked. See the photos below!

STAGE TUBE: SILENCE! The Musical Commercial Wins 2012 Telly Award

On April 13th, SILENCE! The Musical received the 2012 Telly Award for Use of Humor in a Television Commercial. The hit Off-Broadway show's new commercial won the prestigious honor at the 33rd Annual Telly Awards over nearly 11,000 entries from around the world. 'The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,' said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. SILENCE! Congressman Grimm, More Join Musical Chairs Chamber Ensemble to Celebrate NEA Challenge America Grant

Musical Chairs Chamber Ensemble, Inc. (MCCE) has been awarded its second prestigious National Endowment for the Arts Challenge America Grant. MCCE will celebrate this good fortune with Congressman Michael Grimm, Council Member Debi Rose and Deputy Borough President Ed Burke on Monday, April 16th at 10am at a formal announcement and press conference at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal (Staten Island side). Live performances will greet morning commuters from 9am to 11am with MCCE members Tamara Keshecki (flute), Clarice Jensen (cello) and Lucille Corwin (viola) performing music by Telemann, Vivaldi, Roussel and Andrew Rosciszewski, MCCE's 2011-12 composer-in-residence.

ACME Performs Three Concerts in May; Releases Album in June

ACME, the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, announces three New York concerts in May and an album release in June 2012. At 8 pm on both Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 the group will take the stage at The Kitchen (512 W. 19th St., NYC) for two performances of the music of William Brittelle and Mick Barr. At 8pm on Monday, May 14, ACME performs Timothy Andres' I Found it by the Sea as part of the 2012 Look & Listen Festival, held at the Pratt Manhattan Gallery (144 W. 14th St., 2nd Floor, NYC).

The Lantern Announces 2012/13 Season to Include NEW JERUSALEM, HENRY V, HEROES

Now in the midst of a record-breaking year, Lantern Theater Company announces the productions scheduled for its 2012/13 season. The Lantern opens its 19th season with a remount of David Ives' New Jerusalem, The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza at Talmud Torah Congregation: Amsterdam, July 27, 1656, the best-selling play in the company's history and featuring the original cast and creative team from the original 2011 production. This limited return engagement is followed by the Philadelphia premiere of The Liar, also by Ives, a sophisticated comedy of lies and love adapted from the French play by Pierre Corneille. Mid-season, the Lantern completes Martin McDonagh's Leenane Trilogy (A Skull in Connemara, The Lonesome West) with the darkly comic The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Lantern Associate Artistic Director Kathryn MacMillan will direct both The Liar and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. In the spring, Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon directs Henry V, William Shakespeare's epic journey through royal courts and battlefields. The season concludes with Heroes, a playful, bawdy, and heartbreakingly funny comedy by Tom Stoppard, adapted from Gerald Sibleyras' Le Vent De Peupliers and directed by Lantern affiliated artist M. Craig Getting.
