A young group of actors from Long Island had the experience of a lifetime as they journeyed to New York City in November to see a performance of the Broadway revival Once on This Island, currently playing at Circle in the Square. Since September, the children and their production team at Stagelight Academy, based in Lindenhurst, NY, have been working on their own production of Once on This Island Jr. Following the Broadway performance, they met with producers and actors and revelled in the excitement and inspiration of seeing the show they would soon stage back home.

Once On This Island begins preview performances this Thursday, November 9th with an official opening on Sunday, December 3rd at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W. 50th street, NYC). Beginning Thursday, November 9, a limited number of $39.50 same-day tickets will be made available prior to each performance of Once On This Island.

Producers Fox Theatricals and Barbara Whitman have announced the casting for the Providence engagement of the first National Tour of FUN HOME, the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning Best Musical. The national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical FUN HOME has landed in Boston and it's as sharply drawn and richly performed as its highly acclaimed Broadway predecessor. Once again mounted on a proscenium stage (it played in the round at Circle in the Square following its original Off-Broadway run at the Public Theatre), FUN HOME loses none of its laser focus as it shines a loving but bittersweet light on the family of a lesbian cartoonist whose memories spring to life from the pages of her latest graphic novel.

Goode Productions (with Associate Producer Meredith Packer) will present the World Premiere of AMP, a solo horror piece written and performed by Jody Christopherson, directed by Isaac Byrne (The Other Mozart; In Vestments) at HERE.
