Belle Aykroyd, Robert Cuccioli and More to Star in Irish Rep's for A TOUCH OF THE POET; Full Cast & Creative Team Announced

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciarán O'Reilly, Producing Director) has announced the full cast & creative team for A Touch of the Poet by Eugene O'Neill and directed by Ciarán O'Reilly (Dublin Carol). Performances will begin on the Francis J. Greenberger Mainstage on March 25, 2020, with opening night set for April 5, for a run through May 10, 2020.

PUMPGIRL Is Extended For Two More Weeks

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciarán O'Reilly, Producing Director) announced today a two-week extension for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize winning-play Pumpgirl, by Abbie Spallen (Strandline), directed by Nicola Murphy (Stop/Over). Pumpgirl began performances in the W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre (132 W 22nd Street, New York, NY 10011) on November 7 and opened November 14. Originally set to close on December 29, 2019, it will now play an extended run through January 12, 2020.

Mint Theater Company to Present the American Premiere of THE MOUNTAINS LOOK DIFFERENT

Mint Theater (Jonathan Bank, Producing Artistic Director) will present the American Premiere of The Mountains Look Different by Micheal mac Liammoir, hailed as 'a courageous play in which there is no beating about the bush' by The Christian Science Monitor. Performances will begin May 30th and continue through July 14th only at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is set for June 19th.

Melissa Gilbert Returns to Irish Rep to Lead THE DEAD, 1904

Irish Repertory Theatre announces full casting for the return of The Dead, 1904 - an immersive adaptation of James Joyce's classic story, "The Dead," adapted by the Pulitzer Prize winning Irish poet Paul Muldoon (Moy Sand and Gravel) and novelist Jean Hanff Korelitz (Admission, You Should Have Known).

Immersive Bloomsday Breakfast Announces Full Line-Up

New York's only immersive Bloomsday Breakfast -- hosted by Origin Theatre Company and Bloom's Tavern, 208 East 58th Street -- will be bursting with talent this year in an expanded edition, at a new time.  Landing on a Saturday, the June 16 free event will begin at 11:30am instead of the usual time and feature an expanded line-up of talent and a juried costume competition that will be bigger and more festive than ever.

BWW Review: Irish Family Drama MOMENT Simmers and Explodes at Studio Theatre

Deirdre Kinahan's family drama MOMENT has had several productions to date, including here in the United States, but Studio's production marks the DC premiere. An excellent cast, a well-structured script, and an engaging story make MOMENT one of the strongest theatrical experiences I've had this season.

The Irish Repertory Theatre, which 'encourages the development of works focusing on the Irish and Irish American experience, as well as a range of other cultures,' continues the 10th season of the Irish Rep Reading Series with Jane Madden's The Windstealers. The reading will be directed by Irish Rep's Literary Manager Kara Manning. The Windstealers, which premiered at the 2015 Tiger Dublin Fringe Festival with the Eccles Theatre Group, will be read today, November 13th at 3pm (EST) at the DR2 Theater, 103 East 15th Street, the Irish Repertory Theatre's temporary home during its current renovations.

City Theatre launches its 41st season with the Pittsburgh premiere of The Night Alive, on the Mainstage tonight, October 10, through November 1, 2015. The play is written by Conor McPherson, and is directed by City Theatre Artistic Director Tracy Brigden, who is celebrating her 15th season as the Southside company's artistic leader.

THE FRINGE FESTIVAL Presents PAINTING HIS WINGS

Television writer, Sinead Daly (current associate producer and writer, The Get Down (Netflix, Baz Luhrmann) and CBS' Blue Bloods) is also a celebrated playwright. Her moving and imaginative work, PAINTING HIS WINGS makes its New York theatre debut as part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival. The play is produced by Making It Happen Productions and is directed by Heather Lanza, the play's original director from its premiere at the 2013 Berkshire Fringe.

PICT's 'SONS OF ULSTER' Coincides with 2014 Centennial of WWI; Runs Now thru 9/20

PICT Classic Theatre's Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme, by Frank McGuinness, opens just about 100 years after the historical WWI events that are authentically portrayed in the performance. Running today, September 4, through September 20 at the Stephen Foster Memorial, the play, appropriate for ages 12+, leaves audiences with a better emotional understanding of events that changed the course of millions of lives and a sense of the surprising ways that WWI continues to shape the world today.

HEARTBEAT OF HOME Runs Now thru 4/6 at Wang Theatre

Heartbeat of Home, the electrifying new music and dance spectacular created by the producers and director of Riverdance, will make its East Coast debut in a limited engagement at Boston's Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre. Playing tonight, March 26 through Sunday, April 6, press night is set for Thursday, March 27 at 8:00 pm. Presented in Boston by the Citi Performing Arts Center, MSG Entertainment and Larry Magid Entertainment, tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 20.

Heartbeat Of Home Closing Sunday at Fisher Theatre

Heartbeat of Home, the high energy dance show from the producers of Riverdance, closes in Detroit on Sunday. On stage at the Fisher Theatre, the spectacle is part of the Broadway In Detroit entertainment series.
