The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has announced the winners of the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards, held tonight at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in historic downtown Los Angeles. The ceremony was broadcast live on CBS at 8:00 PM ET/PT and streamed on Paramount+.* This year marked the 18th time CBS has broadcast the Daytime Emmy® Awards, more than any other network.

Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to discuss Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, now playing at the August Wilson Theatre. In Cabaret, Redmayne plays 'The Emcee', a role played by Joel Grey in the 1966 and 1987 Broadway productions. Perhaps it’s only fitting in a town that’s known for art, music and psychoanalysis (and maybe a little whipped cream on the side), that the Vienna State Opera’s production of Puccini’s TURANDOT—with the stunning soprano Asmik Grigorian in the title role—features a traumatized characterization of the title role, with the fine Russian tenor Ivan Gyngazov as Calaf.

Wiancko is more about theming each of the 11 concerts in the chamber series, more about the Zen of each program. Nuttall was laid-back and West Coast in his attitude: If you want to applaud between movements, go right ahead. A couple of times, Wiancko took what seemed like a Far Eastern approach, requesting that we withhold applause between works.
