La Jolla Playhouse announced today the appointment of National Disability Theatre (NDT) Co-Executive Directors Talleri A. McRae and Mickey Rowe as the Playhouse's 2019/2020 Artists-in-Residence.

National Disability Theatre has received a $50,000 grant from the Ford Foundation. These funds will support the National Disability Theatre's mission of employing professional theatre artists who create fully accessible, world-class theatre and storytelling; change social policy and the nation's narrative about disability culture; and provide a guiding model in accessibility for the arts and cultural sector.

Second Stage Theater has announced casting for the New York premiere of MAKE BELIEVE. Written by BESS WOHL and directed by MICHAEL GREIF, MAKE BELIEVE will feature KIM FISCHER, SUSANNAH FLOOD, RYAN FOUST, HARRISON FOX, MAREN HEARY, BRAD HEBERLEE, and SAMANTHA MATHIS. Continuing its 40th Anniversary Season Second Stage Theater will soon present Christopher Shinn's DYING CITY. Directed by Chris Shinn, the production will feature Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Kelly) and Colin Woodell (Craig/Peter). DYING CITY will begin previews May 14, 2019 at the Tony Kiser Theater (305 West 43rd Street) and will officially open on June 3, 2019.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays, in partnership with The New School for Drama, announced that the annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will be available starting March 11, 2019 and will run through April 1, 2019. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place in August in New York City.
