On Wednesday, April 3rd Secretary Hillary Clinton attended the evening performance of The Cher Show. Lin-Manuel Miranda attended the show the following evening on Thursday, April 4th. Both went backstage after the show to meet the cast including stars Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks, Micaela Diamond and Jarrod Spector.
THE CHER SHOW Cast Album Will Be Released Digitally on April 12

The original cast album to the Broadway hit The Cher Show will be released digitally on Friday, April 12th on Warner Bros. Records with the physical CD album release on Friday, May 10th and pre-order available today. Fans who pre-order the album will receive "If I Could Turn Back Time" instantly. The bio-musical, which opened on December 3rd at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York, is a celebration of the one and only Cher and her amazing six decade career and life story.

Tony winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, The Cher Show, My Fair Lady, SpongeBob) will direct an invite-only, developmental reading of the new musical, The Song of Bernadette, March 14th & 15th, starring Dear Evan Hansen's Mallory Bechtel as Bernadette, alongside Tony Winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal, Side Show, American Psycho), Derek Klena (Carrie, Dogfight, Anastasia) and Drew Gehling (Waitress, Dave).

The musical, THE KING AND I, accounts the experience of widow Mrs. Anna Leonowens (Anglea Baumgardner), an English school teacher, who was take on as a main driving factor in the King of Siam's push to modernize Siam in the late 1800s. Anna and her young son travel to Siam where she teaches the royals about culture, customs, and the modern world. With the King also being thought of as "a barbarian", Anna also prepares a formal party for English diplomats with hopes they will change their tune about the King.

THE KING AND I plays through Sunday, February 24th at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. Singing and dancing along to the oh-so-familiar tunes is going a bit far, though some members of the audience are humming to themselves as the orchestra begins to tune.
