The Constitution is the only document you get more knowledge of it, the drunker you get.  Why?  It was written during a four month drunken binge. The bills from those days show thousands of dollars in wine, port, beer.  They were all drinking.

Celebration Theatre has announced an added show to its Celebratory 30th Anniversary Season, the Los Angeles Premiere of a new play, AT THE FLASH, written by Sean Chandler and David Leeper, performed by David Leeper and directed by David Zak. AT THE FLASH began previews on Wednesday, May 15th and will open on Friday, May 17th and will perform through Sunday, May 26th at the Celebration Theatre, 7051b Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood.

Kristine Nielsen and Lewis J. Stadlen have been named to receive the annual Richard Seff Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation. The award honors a veteran female and male character actor for the best performance in a supporting role in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production. The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, president of the Actors' Equity Foundation, which administers the Award.

Producers Joey Parnes and Larry Hirschhorn announced today that Christopher Durang's new comedy, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, will extend its premiere Broadway engagement at the Golden Theatre by four weeks due to popular demand.

The New York City Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association offered a Thursday, May 2, 2013 performance of Broadway's VANYA and SONIA and MASHA and SPIKE, the new comedy by Christopher Durang starring Tony and Emmy Award Winner David Hyde Pierce and Tony and Academy Award nominee Sigourney Weaver. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will support the free programs and services offered by the New York City Chapter, as well as research. The New York Drama Critics' Circle met on May 3, 2013, at the offices of Time Out New York magazine, to determine the winners of its 78th annual awards. Trinity Rep has announced that former artistic director and Academy-award nominated film, stage and TV actorRichard Jenkins is returning to Trinity Rep for their 50th Season. Richard and his wife Sharon Jenkins are set to direct and choreograph Trinity Rep's production of Lionel Bart's family musical Oliver! in February of 2014.
