Susan Mosher and Carly Sakolove join the cast of the off-Broadway musical revue, NEWSical the Musical, beginning April 15th. Ms. Sakolove steps into NEWSical the Musical as a swing while Ms. Mosher, who starred in Hairspray on Broadway, replaces Christine Pedi who is stepping out for ten weeks to join Broadway's Chicago.

Beginning Monday, March 18, 54 Below launches 'The Callback," a weekly Monday night competition in which aspiring artists will perform for a chance to win their own engagement at 54 Below. The new weekly late-night event will be hosted by Christine Pedi (Sirius XM Radio host, Forbidden Broadway, Talk Radio.)
Kittin Withawhip (So You Think You Can Drag, The Ultimate Drag Off, Last Comic Standing) hosted the opening night of Boylesque!, a new all-male burlesque revue at the new Lucky Cheng's Drag Cabaret in Times Square. Christine Pedi (Newsical) headlined the opening night line-up, joined by Reyscandalo De La Verga (Broadway After Dark, RENT), Jake Haynie (Broadway After Dark, SMASH), Darrel T. Joe (Damn Yankees, National Tour), Michael McArthur (A Chorus Line at Paper Mill Playhouse, Newsies at Paper Mill Playhouse, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, SMASH), and Matt Anctil (La Cage Aux Folles, Broadway Beauty Pageant). Boylesque! is set to play Wednesdays at 11:00pm. Lucky Cheng's is located at 240 West 52nd Street.

Original NEWSical cast member Christina Bianco returns to Off-Broadway's smash hit NEWSical The Musical on January 29th one week prior to Carson Kressley's premiere. Bianco replaces Hairspray vet Susan Mosher who is leaving the production to star in Gordon Greenberg's The Single Girls Guide at Capital Repertory. Bianco was seen in NEWSical for three years spoofing everyone and everything from Sarah Palin's political ambitions, to Kim Kardashian's short-lived first marriage, to Lady Gaga's fight for equality, to Christina Aguilera's memorable National Anthem mishap. With Bianco's return to NEWSical so will the fan-favorite sketch involving Celine Dion's take on "The Hokey Pokey".
Carly Sakolove, who is currently featured in the YouTube sensation "Les Miserables NYC Film Premiere," will return to The Duplex with her hilarious Broadway Diva impressions in January. Carly will appear for one night only in her show I HEAR VOICES. The show, written by Sakolove and Tony Award nominee Bill Russell, will play tonight, January 25th at 9:30pm.
On Monday, January 7, songwriting team Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich came together for the 13th Broadway at Birdland 'Marcy & Zina Show' musical extravaganza, co-starring their friends Scott Coulter, David Beach, Jill Abramovitz, Jennifer Jones, Christine Pedi and Noah Galvin. The band included Mike Croiter on drums, Clay Ruede on cello and Pete Donovan on bass.
