NEWSICAL Announces the Addition of Susan Mosher and Carly Sakolove to the Cast

Susan Mosher and Carly Sakolove join the cast of the off-Broadway musical revue, NEWSical The Musical, beginning April 15th. Ms. Sakolove steps into NEWSical The Musical as a swing while Ms. Mosher, who starred in Hairspray on Broadway, replaces Christine Pedi who is stepping out for ten weeks to join Broadway's Chicago.
"I'm so thrilled Susie is back," said producer Tom D'Angora at this morning's announcement. Mosher previously appeared in NEWSical The Musical in October. "She is one of the funniest people in North America and we have missed her."
D'Angora is also excited to welcome Carly Sakolove to the production. "I've been waiting a long time to work with Carly and the timing finally lined up," he continued. "Her talents are a perfect fit for our quirky little show."
Sakolove is best known for her Youtube video "Broadway Divas Send in the Clowns," a parody where she displayed her impressive range of vocal talents, portraying legends like Bernadette Peters, Patti LuPone and Liza Minelli in a hilarious rendition of Sondheim's "Send in the Clowns". The video earned her the #6 slot in TIme Magazine's Top Ten Talented Videos of 2010.

The Associated Press calls NEWSical The Musical "The Daily Show set to music!" It was named Best New Musical of 2011 by the Off Broadway Alliance for its infectious melodies, razor-sharp lyrics, biting satire and having more unpredictability than a Courtney Love tweet.
NEWSical The Musical features Michael West (When Pigs Fly, Forbidden Broadway), Tommy Walker (Evil Dead The Musical), Christina Bianco (Forbidden Broadway) and Ryan Knowles (host of Nickelodeon's ME:TV).
