The Broadway Ballyhoo careens into its 9th smash month at Feinstein's at Loew's Regency. This week's August 2nd cast will feature Natalie Toro, along with Drama Desk Nominee Christine Pedi, currently starring in Newsical the Musical (she is also a popular radio personality on Sirius Radio), Janine Divita (Anything Goes, and soon to star in Edwin Drood on Broadway in the fall), and Broadway rising star Felipe Tovalaro. As always, the Broadway Ballyhoo will have its surprises, as well.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced a series of special events that will enhance the previously announced 2012 summer season. Additions to the Festival's 58th season include one-night-only stand-up comedy performances from Lewis Black tonight, July 9th and Susie Essman (who will also appear in the Nikos Stage production of Last of the Red Hot Lovers) on July 23rd. Also added to the schedule is a reading of Dustin Lance Black's political docudrama 8, presented in partnership with Broadway Impact as a benefit for the American Foundation for Equal Rights. The Festival's popular Late-Night Cabaret Series returns, featuring Festival stars in rarely seen performances.
On Monday, June 25, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was presented songwriter Jack Lechner and a very talented cast of singers to the historic stage. Singing Lechner's songs and praises were Nancy Anderson, Chris Critelli, Desmond Dutcher, Jeannine Frumess, Andy Monroe, Jeremy Schonfeld, Lucas Steele, and Karen Ziemba, with musical direction by Boko Suzuki. Lechner is best known for his 2010 off-Broadway musical The Kid, co-written with composer Andy Monroe and librettist Michael Zam.
After almost two years Off-Broadway and on tour, the hit comedy MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE! will play its final performance at Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia's (221 West 46th Street) on Saturday, June 30, 2012.

Yesterday, June 3, The 57th Annual Drama Desk Awards were held at The Town Hall, celebrating this year's big winners. The festivities were presided over by star of stage and screen Brooke Shields and Broadway favorite - and previous Drama Desk winner - Brian d'Arcy James.

Help Is On The Way Today, founded by 2012 MAC Award Winner Joseph macchia, is a 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to assisting children living with HIV/AIDS. The talent line up has just added the hilarious Christine (S**t Liza Minelli Says) Pedi. Robert Creighton, of the Tony Award winning cast of Anything Goes, will act as auctioneer.

NEWSical the Musical: End of the World Edition, the ever-evolving, completely unsanitized musical mockery of all the news that's fit to spoof, will welcome Tommy Walker to the principal cast on April 6, 2012. Walker has been a swing in NEWSical since 2009. He replaces John Walton West, who played his final performance on April 4.
The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs presented the 26th Annual MAC Awards Show on March 29th. The awards ceremony was held at B.B. King Blues Club, and the show was directed by Lennie Watts and produced by Julie Miller. BWW was there to cover the event. Check out the photos below!
