For over 50 years, Milwaukee Rep has furthered the development of the next generations of American theater artists with their highly respected Emerging Professional Resident program. For the 2020/21 Reset Season they welcome seven EPRs in Acting, Directing & Education to gain valuable experience and to learn from experts in their respective fields.

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC) will bring live theatre back to the Temple of Music & Art in Tucson in January and the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix in February a?" albeit to limited audiences a?" with an entertaining and engaging six-show Mainstage Season chosen by Artistic Director Sean Daniels.

Milwaukee Rep has successfully collaborated with Actors' Equity Association, the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees, United Scenic Artists and Stage Directors & Choreographers Society to develop safety protocols that will enable live performances to begin again on December 1, 2020 for Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol.

Arizona Theatre Company is continuing its series of online play readings with Wendy MacLeod's comedy for anyone who's ever been 'hangry,' Slow Food, beginning at 5 p.m. on Sept. 15. The reading will be available through Sept. 19.

Due to the increasingly complex challenges of COVID-19, Milwaukee Rep will move the previously announced 2020/21 Season in its entirety to 2021/22. In its place will be the 2020/21 Season Reset starting with a one-actor version of A Christmas Carol in the Quadracci Powerhouse featuring Lee E. Ernst in December.

Arizona Theatre Company on August 18 will launch the first of its series of creative digital performance offerings with Alma, the story of a daughter and her mother and the thread of the American dream.

The McKnight Foundation and Playwrights' Center are continuing to invest in the future of theater by supporting some of today's most promising playwrights through the McKnight National Residency and Commission and McKnight Fellowships in Playwriting. The awards are all the more pertinent as many theater-makers face unprecedented challenges during this moment of crisis.

Alabama Shakespeare Festival presents Ruby: The Story of Ruby Bridges on the Festival Stage March 6 through March 22, 2020. Produced in collaboration with Montgomery Public Schools, the play is adapted by Christina Ham, who penned last season's Four Little Girls: Birmingham 1963 and Nina Simone: Four Women, with music by Gary Rue.

Arizona Theatre Company will launch its 54th season with Artistic Director Sean Daniel's first fully chosen six-play Main Stage lineup complemented by additional co-productions, nine exciting and innovative local and national collaborations and partnerships and numerous new-work development programs.  

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) will present its critically acclaimed production of Nina Simone: Four Women, first staged last spring with Northlight Theatre in Chicago, to Lowell from February 12 to March 8 only at the Nancy L. Donahue Theatre, according to Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas and Interim Artistic Director Terry Berliner.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), the theatrical union that represents over 4,000 professional stage directors and choreographers announced that due to an overwhelming number of a?oeStandout Momentsa?? nominations for the 2018-2019 season, SDC will add an eleventh a?oeStandout Moments,a?? to the traditional list of ten.

The Black Rep and COCA announce that the two longstanding St. Louis organizations will collaborate to produce a student youth production of Four Little Girls: Birmingham 1963 by Christina Ham. Performances will be held October 18-20 and 25-27, in the newly opened Staenberg Performance Lab at COCA.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) today announced last season's a?oe2 Tickets for $40a?? special, created last year in honor of its 40th Anniversary Season, will continue for the 2019-20 Season, which opens September 11 with Tiny Beautiful Things. The theatre will also introduce a subscription for students and expand its discount periods for educators and military families.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) today announced the cast for the buoyant Tiny Beautiful Things, Nia Vardalos' stage adaptation of The New York Times' bestseller Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar by Cheryl Strayed, directed by Jen Wineman, from September 11 to October 6 at the Nancy L. Donahue Theatre, according to Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas and Interim Artistic Director Terry Berliner.

On Thursday, June 27th The Kilroys celebrated the drop of THE LIST 2019 at Here & Now in Los Angeles. The event celebrated the 13 founding members of the organization and the 33 plays featured on THE LIST 2019.

The Kilroys, an independent, Los Angeles- and New York City-based playwrightdirectorproducer collective, announced their 5th annual THE LIST 2019 of industry-recommended new plays. THE LIST serves as a resource for producers and theaters committed to gender parity. The Kilroys have partnered with the New Play Exchange to provide interested parties fast and easy access to THE LIST plays. 

The University of Washington School of Drama, led by Interim Executive Director Lynn M. Thomas and Associate Director Geoff Korf, is pleased to announce its 2019 - 2020 season.
