One year after nearly 2,000 audience members flocked to nine Chicago Parks to experience the power of American civil rights freedom fighter Fannie Lou Hamer, Goodman Theatre produces Fannie (The Music and Life of Fannie Lou Hamer) by Cheryl L. West, directed by Goodman Resident Artistic Associate Henry Godinez.

Children's Theatre Company announced today that single tickets are now available for its live, in-person 2021 – 2022 Season, which includes five inspiring productions that will enthrall and delight audiences of all ages.

Miriam Weisfeld most recently served as Director of Artistic Development for the Tony-winning Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. Asolo Rep continues its 2021 outdoor season with the launch of the rolling world premiere of Cheryl L. West's Fannie: The Music and Life of Fannie Lou Hamer. Directed by Henry Godinez with Music Direction and Arrangements by Felton Offard, Asolo Rep will start the “roll,” followed by productions to be announced at Goodman Theatre and Seattle Rep.

On its heels is the second installment premiering February 25, featuring another new work on the horizon for Seattle Rep – a fresh and relevant new translation of one of Henrik Ibsen’s most vivid and controversial masterpieces, Ghosts.

The season kicks off with Laura Osnes in Concert on February 5 and 6, with music direction by Fred Lassen.
