Yesterday, November 14th, the cast of Paper Mill Playhouse's The Sound of Music, directed and choreographed by James Brennan, met the press. Cast for the show includes Edward Hibbert (Max Detweiler), Anthony Fedorov (Rolf Gruber), Ben Davis (Captain) and Elena Shaddow (Maria), Chelsea Morgan Stock (Liesl), and more. Paper Mill Playhouse is proud to partner with Jersey Cares as a collection site for their winter coat drive. Furthermore, area residents are encouraged to drop off their undistributed Halloween candy to the Paper Mill Playhouse Box Office now until Friday, November 16th. All candy collected will be sent to troops serving our country. The Paper Mill Playhouse Lobby is now open to area residents, noon until 5:00pm, seven-days-a-week to charge electronic devices.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee- Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director) has just announced the cast for its holiday musical masterpiece, The Sound of Music. One of the most beloved and inspirational stories of all time, this tale of love and courage is Rodgers and Hammerstein's final triumphant collaboration. Directed and choreographed by Paper Mill Playhouse favorite James Brennan, The Sound of Music will bring families of all ages together this holiday season. Leading the cast are Ben Davis as Captain Georg von Trapp, Elena Shaddow as Maria von Trapp, Edward Hibbert as Max, Chelsea Morgan Stock as Liesl and X as Rolf. The Sound of Music will run at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from November 23 to December 30, 2012. The official press opening is Sunday, November 25, at 7:00pm.

Porchlight Music Theatre has announced the Chicago musical premiere of O.Henry's holiday masterpiece, The Gifts of the Magi, book by Mark St. Germain, music by Randy Courts and lyrics by Randy Courts and Mark St. Germain, November 17 - December 23 at Stage 773, 1225 West Belmont Ave. Porchlight Music theatre's production is directed by Mark Lococo with music direction by Elizabeth Doran and choreography by Brenda Didier.

Beyond the Music, a new musical with original book and direction by Tony® Award winning producer Andy Sandberg (Hair; The Last Smoker in America) and a fresh and exhilarating pop-rock score by multiple Emmy Award-winner Cliff Downs and Katie Kahanovitz, will have invitation-only readings in New York on September 10th and 11th, 2012.

Broadway's Future - presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul in association with N + N Productions - continues Monday, April 16th at 6PM in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Inspired by the true story of Florence Greenberg, the woman who in the late 1950's took the male-dominated music industry by storm, BABY IT'S YOU! is a new Broadway musical conceived by Floyd Mutrux, directed by Floyd Mutrux and Sheldon Epps, and written by Tony nominated book writers Mutrux and Colin Escott, the team behind Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet. BABY IT'S YOU!, which began previews Saturday, March 26, at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street), opens Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 6:30pm
