I have always loved Footloose the movie (the first one), so seeing Luke Ferguson resemble the looks and moves of Kevin Bacon was so much fun. Honestly, it’s as if a young Kevin jumped out of the movie and landed on stage.

Recorded on an old 80's tape machine by Holcomb and his longtime Production Manager and Engineer Thomas Dulin.

Boxcar Theatre has announced the reopening of the hit immersive show, THE SPEAKEASY: AGE OF SCOFFLAWS, in a limited run, April 4 – June 23, 2024. Marking its ten-year anniversary, the celebrated show transports audiences back to the Roaring 1920s inside an intricately designed space complete with a two-story cabaret, three bars and a casino, as well as secret passageways and disguised entrances.

Sometimes you hear a singer who embodies a role so completely that it’s hard to imagine her in anything else. That’s how I felt about the wonderful mezzo Aigul Akhmetshina, who’s singing the title role in the Met’s new production of Bizet’s CARMEN, which I saw at its second performance. Her portrayal was as full-bodied as her voice and she sizzled, filling up the stage as much as one can imagine. It’s little surprise that she’s considered the Carmen of the moment, having appeared in seven other productions (with two to come).

The Josh Abbott Band shares new single “She'll Always Be,” a serenade to Abbott's eternally free-spirited six-year-old daughter. Produced by Dwight A. Baker (who also produced 2015's Front Row Seat) and recorded at his Matchbox Studios in Austin, Somewhere Down The Road is the Josh Abbott Band's first full-length LP since 2020's The Highway Kind.

New Years Day announced Half Black Heart in late 2023, following the release of “Vampyre” and “Secrets”. The record also features the band's 2022 hit “Hurts Like Hell”. Last fall they also embarked on The Kiss of Death Tour with In This Moment and Ice Nine Kills, in addition to being featured on WWE NXT's Halloween Havoc.
