Florida Grand Opera (FGO), with its new artistic vision, is proud to announce the casting choices for the four productions of its 2016-17 Season, which include Georges Bizet's Carmen, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Jorge Martin's Before Night Falls, and Giuseppe Verdi's A Masked Ball (Un Ballo in Maschera).

VH1 Pulls EV AND OCHO Reality Series Due to Johnson Arrest

VH1 has announced that it is pulling its new reality series EV AND OCHO from its schedule before it has even debuted. The show starred newlyweds Chad Johnson, formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, and Evelyn Lozada. The move was in response to a confrontation last weekend between Johnson and his wife that led to the arrest of the Miami Dolphins football player. Johnson has been charged in a domestic battery case.

Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (formerly Chad Johnson) is using his off-season to pursue happiness off the field in his new VH1 original series 'Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch.' The series is a mix of Ochocinco's on-field charisma blended with the drama of the dating pool played out in a bracket-style dating tournament. The special 90-minute premiere episode airs on Sunday, July 11 at 9:00 PM*. Also premiering on the same night is 'The T.O. Show' Season 2. This season starts with Terrell back on the free market where he needs to decide if he wants to continue his football career and find another team or hang up his cleats and figure out what his life will be post football. Over the past few years the music of composer Gregory Spears has become more prevalent around the new music and dance circuits. The Romantic and minimalist styles that define the Spears sound has hit critical mass this season with music by the young composer featured at Zankel Hall (American Composers Orchestra), Le Poisson Rouge (MATA Festival), Dance Theatre Workshop, and American Opera Projects (AOP); the latter will present a concert preview of Mr. Spears's upcoming first opera Paul's Case, based on a story by American literary icon Willa Cather.
