About Face Theatre will present a special concert event of the new neo-soul musical CLEAR by AFT Artistic Associate Paul Oakley Stovall, with additional music by STEW (Passing Strange), directed by Krissy Vanderwarker, playing tonight, October 11 - 13, 2012 at 7 pm at The Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park. Featuring a seven-piece band, performers include Yassmin Alers, Dietrich Gray, Celisse Henderson, Tyshaun Lang, Jesse McQuarters, Leenya Rideout, Brad Simmons, Paul Oakley Stovall and Jon Patrick (JP) Walker. BWW has confirmed that the cast, crew and investors were informed pre-show this evening that GODSPELL will play its final performance on Broadway on June 24th, 2012 at Circle in the Square Theatre.

Today, June 8, GODSPELL will play a special added matinee performance at 3 p.m.

Those who closely follow Broadway Grosses have been keeping an eye on GODSPELL's numbers as of late and wondering what the future held for the musical, which was recently announced for a performance on Sunday night's Tonys. Lead producer Ken Davenport has shed some light on the show's health in a new blog entry noting that after a slew of recent promotions ranging from 'Pay Your Age' to the 'Cast of 2032' and a Fan Appreciation Day:

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the revival of GODSPELL on Broadway, despite a lack of Tony nominations, will make an appearance on the 2012 broadcast to perform a selection from the musical. At this time, there is no official word or confirmation on who, or what the cast will be performing.
