Photos: New Images Released for The Flea's ARDEN: BUT, NOT WITHOUT YOU

The Flea announced today the formerly titled ARDEN: A Ritual for Love and Liberation will now be titled ARDEN: But, Not Without You. They have released new photos of the artists of this genre-bending, boundary-breaking, and interactive new work that is commissioned by The Flea and led by Black and queer artists.

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale Announces New Exhibitions

Syracuse Stage Begins Season With Free Fully Staged Professional Reading

Syracuse Stage reopens its doors for public performances with a fully staged professional reading of “Baldwin vs. Buckley: The Faith of Our Fathers,” a “theatricalization” by Stage's resident playwright Kyle Bass of the 1965 debate between writer and Civil Rights activist James Baldwin and conservative commentator William F. Buckley, Jr. The debate took place at Cambridge University and was broadcast by the BBC.

Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation Names Francesca Harper As Artistic Director Of The Ailey II Company

Robert Battle, Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, announced today that internationally renowned performer, choreographer, director, and multi-disciplinary artist Francesca Harper has been appointed Artistic Director of Ailey II, the Ailey organization's acclaimed company of young dancers. Ms. Harper will assume her duties on September 7, 2021, and will immediately begin preparing for Ailey II's return to the stage.

Syracuse Stage Expands Artistic Leadership Team

Syracuse Stage Artistic Director Robert Hupp today announced an expansion of the senior artistic staff. As of September 1, veteran New York based director Melissa Crespo becomes the theater's associate artistic director. Kyle Bass, who currently holds that position, will transition to a new role as the theater's first resident playwright and will remain a member of the theater's senior artistic staff.
