The Alley Theatre's holiday production of A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas celebrates the return to the Alley stage and reopens the Hubbard Theatre following Hurricane Harvey.

Totem Pole Playhouse, in association with Gettysburg Community Theatre, will once again bring its original adaptation of the Charles Dickens' holiday classic A Christmas Carol to the stage of Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater this December 8-17. This year's production boasts an even larger cast of over 60 professional union, non-union, and local community actors, making it by far the largest production in Central Pennsylvania.

When Virginia Stage Company's annual tradition, A Christmas Carol, returns to the Wells Theatre this holiday season, it will have a brand new look. For the first time in more than five years there will be a new script, sets, costumes, music, and yes, even a new Scrooge! You won't want to miss this song-filled adaptation by beloved Norfolk director, Patrick Mullins.

Beginning at 11:30 a.m., guests will be treated to holiday arts and crafts, strolling carolers, face-painting, photo booth, cupcake decorating, holiday-themed treats and libations, photos with Santa Claus, as well as special performances by cast members from A.C.T.'s celebrated production of A Christmas Carol and students from A.C.T.'s Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program and Young Conservatory (YC). Those who have purchased VIP event packages with tickets to the 2 p.m. performance of A Christmas Carol will be escorted from Macy's to The Geary Theater by a group of roaming carolers beginning at 1:30 p.m. A Dickens of a Holiday is free and open to the public.

Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre located at 49 York Street in downtown Gettysburg, will once again change lives through the joy of musical theatre during their 4th annual Penguin Project (Special Needs Theatre) production. This year's production is Elf the musical performing weekends November 10-19, 2017 and it is almost entirely sold out. The production stars 50 children with and without special needs/disabilities from 10 different school districts performing on stage together. GCT will present their annual Christmas Cabaret on Friday, November 24th with a reception beginning at 7pm and concert starting at 7:30pm. Directed by GCT faculty member and local favorite private voice/piano instructor, Mrs. Carrie Conklin Trax will again direct this year's Christmas Cabaret, Home For The Holidays, featuring students, alumni, and friends. On December 1st for Gettysburg's First Friday, visit GCT to shop at our Holiday Pop Up Boutique with vendors for great holiday shopping 5-8pm and stay for the free Improv Show at 8pm. Gift certificates to GCT for tickets or tuition can also be purchased at this no admission special event.
