The Casting Society of America has announced winners of the 26th Annual Artios Awards®.

Last night, November 1, the Casting Society of America hosted the 26th Annual Artios Awards®. The bi-coastal award ceremonies were held in Los Angeles at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel, hosted by Lily Tomlin, and at the American Airlines Theatre in New York. Signature Theatre Company presents the first New York revival of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, directed by Michael Greif. ANGELS IN AMERICA opened Thursday, October 28 at the Peter Norton Space (555 West 42nd Street). The play began previews on September 14. Millennium Approaches and Perestroika, the two parts of ANGELS IN AMERICA, alternate in repertory.

On October 18th, Emmy nominee Connie Britton whose accolades include stand-out roles on shows such as Friday Night Lights, 24, The West Wing among others and Carla Gugino who is seen on Entourage, Watchmen, Night at the Museum and more will be hosting the internationally-acclaimed African Children's Choir as they perform at their annual fundraising gala. Joining them performing are some of Broadway's best from shows including Wicked, Lion King, Promises, Promises, In the Heights and Memphis with more to be announced. The Music Director for the event is Mary Mitchell Campbell. As Cy Coleman's protégé and currently the Music Director for Addams Family on Broadway right now, she will be adding her talent to this night. The night will not only showcase performances, but also an auction to help raise funds for The African Children's Choir.

On Monday, April 19, the stars came out to celebrate the 11th Anniversary of WET Productions, a non-profit dedicated to empowering women in the arts and media, at their Love Gala. Love was a one night only benefit performance of short plays on love, written by some of the hottest women writers in film, theater and TV and performed by celebrated actors. WETs notorious annual Gala followed the presentation. BroadwayWorld was there for the celebration.

Noted film and television star Carla Gugino (Watchmen) will suit up as a sexy defense attorney on the 4th season of the hit SHOWTIME comedy CALIFORNICATION. Gugino will be a guest star in 10 of the series' 12 episodes.

Carla Gugino and Addison Timlin have landed major roles on the upcoming Season 4 of Showtime's comedy series Californication, according to a report on Deadline.com.

The 2010 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express, the Founding Sponsor of the Festival, today announced its remaining out-of-competition feature film selections in the Encounters, Discovery, Cinemania and Spotlight sections. The Festival will take place from April 21 to May 2, 2010 in lower Manhattan, offering audiences film screenings, conversations and an array of free community events. As previously announced, the 2010 film selection encompasses feature films from 38 different countries, including 45 World Premieres, 7 International Premieres, 14 North American Premieres, 6 U.S. Premieres and 12 New York Premieres.
