BWW Review: SPYMONKEY'S HYSTERIA at Straz Center For The Performing Arts

My husband loathes plays and yet I still dragged him out to Jaeb Theatre Sunday night to experience Spymonkey's Hysteria. After interviewing Toby last week, I knew it was our warped sense of humor and we'd love it. Not five minutes into the play at Klaus's unexpected greeting to Laura, he is tapping my knee mouthing, 'you were right.'

The cast of Las Vegas' most-anticipated new production, ATOMIC SALOON SHOW by Spiegelworld, arrived by gondola this afternoon to reclaim the long-forgotten Atomic Saloon, now located inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort. Decades after her saloon was taken over by the government for atomic testing and later built around by one of The Strip's landmark resorts, Boozy has returned with her bawdy band of saloon staff to put on a show like the world's never seen. ATOMIC SALOON SHOW Takes Vegas Back to the Wild West

Knee-high in Atomic Saloon renovations, Madam Boozy Skunkton is learning the hard way that if you open a saloon in the desert, you've got to expect all sorts of lowlife cactus-kickers wandering in looking for free booze, loose change, or even a free slice of pie. In putting together the cast for ATOMIC SALOON SHOW, which opens at The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort in September, Skunkton has just engaged one such blow-in, an Italian acrobat who would definitely be on the hard side of al dente in any spaghetti western.

Boozy Skunkton Rescues Irish Dancers Lost In Nevada Desert And Hires Pair To Choreograph ATOMIC SALOON SHOW

Preparing to take over the Atomic Saloon inside the Grand Canal Shoppes in September for Spiegelworld's upcoming ATOMIC SALOON SHOW, Madam Boozy Skunkton realized she was going to need some "darn dazzlin' dancers" to entertain her patrons. Recently, her prayers were answered when a couple of lost Irish folk dancers staggered out of the desert and into her under-renovation saloon at The Venetian Resort. Today, Mr. and Mrs. O'Calamity accepted Skunkton's offer to choreograph and perform in her new Las Vegas production.

ATOMIC SALOON SHOW Comes to Las Vegas

Could this become the wildest watering hole in Las Vegas? Her first hotel was acquired by the government as an atomic bomb test site, but, decades later, Boozy Skunkton has returned to take over the Kraken Music Hall, a hidden saloon bar in the heart of Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort. Boozy has collected the "most abnormally sexy but sensationally amoral" troupe of entertainers on Earth and is determined to create the greatest saloon show the world has ever known. ATOMIC SALOON SHOW begins Las Vegas performances on Sept. 8, 2019.

Cimarosa's THE SECRET MARRIAGE Comes to Jackson's Lane Theatre

HGO, North London's leading opera company, presents a new production of Domenico Cimarosa's masterpiece of opera buffa, 'THE SECRET MARRIAGE'. 'What a treat to bring Cimarosa's sparkling, effervescent opera to life', says director SINEAD O'NEILL. 'It was an immediate hit in 1792, and it's easy to see why. Fast-paced, with direct, well-drawn characters, tangled love affairs, confusion and misunderstandings, it is light-hearted, touching, and charming.'
