BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that stage and screen actor Lawrence Clayton has died at age 64. The news was shared with BroadwayWorld by multiple friends and former castmates of Clayton's.

First up in the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's newly revamped 2020 Summer Season - now online, the 30th NATIONAL PUPPETRY CONFERENCE (PUP) running June 8 through June 12, 2020. PUP, with an already sold-out main CONFERENCE, is offering the public a series of five master classes, as well as, two free open mic puppet sessions. I managed to pull the right strings to pose a few questions to PUP's Artistic Director Pam Arcerio.

The complete cast is set for Mill Mountain Theatre's upcoming Spring Musical: Dreamgirls, running March 25 - April 11 on the Trinkle MainStage. A dazzling journey through 20th-century American popular music, Dreamgirls follows the rising stardom of The Dreamettes, an all-girl Motown group from Chicago. Known for its 2006 feature film adaptation starring Jennifer Hudson, Dreamgirls is filled with show-stopping musical numbers from the genres of gospel, R&B, smooth pop, disco, and more.

The Lotos Foundation, with a philanthropic mission of encouraging and supporting the creative arts and sciences, will bestow eight grants to in-school and after-school programs across New York City, as well as award six monetary prizes to creative artists at the outset of their careers across a broad spectrum of the arts. This year's awards include a new prize, The Lotos Foundation James McCracken and Sandra Warfield Opera Prize, honoring the late internationally-acclaimed American tenor and mezzo-soprano.

See all your favorite characters as they come to life in Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical presented by Society for the Performing Arts (SPA) on Thursday, December 26th and Friday, December 27th in Jones Hall for the Performing Arts. Join Rudolph and other iconic characters including Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius and the Abominable Snow Monster as they help Santa save Christmas. Extend the fun before the 1 pm showing on December 27th with Family Day in the lobby of Jones Hall. Family Day, introduced by SPA during their 2018-2019 season, gives families the opportunity to experience theater together and provides pre-show activities for guests of all ages.

Playing the role of C.C White, Stokes impressed audiences with his velvety vocals and the endearing warmth of his portrayal. Following his departure from the show, Durone has recorded and produced a reimagined version of one of his main songs: 'Family'.
