The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today that Robert Zemeckis's FLIGHT will make its World Premiere as the Closing Night film for the upcoming 50th New York Film Festival (September 28 - October 14).

The Walt Disney Company today announced that THE RIVER, the much-anticipated supernatural TV thriller from executive producer Steven Spielberg and the director of 'Paranormal Activity' Oren Peli, is set to premiere in eight other countries within hours of its U.S. debut on the ABC Television Network on Tuesday, February 7 at 9:00 p.m., ET.

Paramount Pictures has just announced that principal photography is now underway in Los Angeles for the currently untitled JJ Abrams upcoming STAR TREK sequel. But one day the scribe stops writing and it's up to Rudd to go on about his day on his own.' ShoWest has named Chris Pine ShoWest Male Star of Tomorrow, it was announced today by Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the event, which will be held March 30-April 2, 2009, in Las Vegas.
