Orlando Shakes Announces New COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols

Orlando Shakes’ policy states that, to gain entrance beginning October 1, all attendees ages 12 and up must wear a face mask, regardless of vaccination status, and show documentation of a recent [within 72 hours of attendance] negative COVID-19 PCR test by a medical provider / certified testing center.

Broward Center Announces New Guest Policy

Among the first to close when the pandemic began, The Broward Center for the Performing Arts has announced new health and safety protocols that will enable it to welcome back artists, audiences, staff and volunteers to all of the stages at the Broward Center and The Parker.

Broward Center Arts For Action Black Voices Presents A Discussion On Employment, September 14

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts will present Bridging the Gap: From Education to Employment in the Arts on Tuesday, September 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Abdo New River Room and via livestream participation on Zoom. This free, interactive community event is the second in the Broward Center's Arts For Action: Black Voices series of community dialogues.

Broward Center Seeks Volunteer Ushers For All Its Venues

As the Broward Center for the Performing Arts prepares for the coming season, getting ready for the curtains to rise once again on all of its stages, it is seeking volunteer ushers to serve as community ambassadors for the Broward Center and its affiliated venues: The Parker, the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center at Nova Southeastern University and the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center.

Carbonell Awards Announces New Officers & Board Members For 21/22 Theater Season

Jeff Kiltie, general manager of Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, stage manager, producer and member of Actors' Equity Association, and co-chair of this year's Carbonell Special Committee. With more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of the performing arts industry, he will also serve as chair of the board's Production & Programming Committee.

Parker Playhouse To Reopen In September with a New Name, New Look, and New Shows

Audiences will be able to create the perfect night on the town without ever leaving The Parker as they enjoy a season of extraordinary entertainment. Among the headliners coming to The Parker this season are: legendary musicians Lindsey Buckingham, Chris Botti, Keb' Mo', The Manhattan Transfer, Bruce Hornsby, a double bill of Los Lobos and Taj Mahal, and a triple bill of Janis Ian with Tom Chapin and Livingston Taylor; hilarious comics Bianca Del Rio, Paula Poundstone, Lewis Black and Patton Oswalt; tributes to music icons Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Journey and Led Zeppelin; Broadway stars Alan Cumming and Todrick Hall; and Seth Rudetsky's Broadway Concert Series featuring Stephanie J. Broward Center Nominated for Theatre of the Decade

Pollstar has nominated the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for the “Theatre of the Decade Award.” Voting is open to the general public now through May 14 at 32nd Annual Pollstar Awards Fan Voting Ballot Survey.

Broward Center Presents ART HEIST Through April 4

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts (@browardcenter) and Right Angle Entertainment have announced Art Heist Experience (@artheistexperience), an interactive, socially-distanced theater experience which takes audiences in small groups on a quest in and around the Broward Center's Downtown Fort Lauderdale campus to gather clues to solve a real-life art heist March 16 – April 4.
