DanceAfrica Miami to Present RISE ABOVE in August

Delou Africa continues to enrich and empower the community through their annual DanceAfrica Miami showcase, which kicks off on August 5 through August 7 at the Lou Rawls Center for the Performing Arts at Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens.

Broward Center In Fort Lauderdale Presents Staged Readings Of SEEKING

One of South Florida's best-known poets, authors, directors and educators takes the stage in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts when Art Prevails Project founder Darius V. Daughtry presents a staged reading of his new play, Seeking, on Saturday July 23 at 4 and 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 24 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15. 

Slow Burn Theatre Company to Stage HEAD OVER HEELS

Slow Burn Theatre Company and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts invite audiences to Head Over Heels, the bold new musical comedy from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q and Spring Awakening, from June 10-26, 2022. The musical is presented by American National Bank and sponsored by the Josephine S. Leiser Foundation and Funding Arts Broward, Inc. (FAB!).  Set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s and featuring a book by Jeff Whitty and adaptation by James Magruder, this laugh-out-loud love story is directed by Patrick Fitzwater.

SFL Cappies Winners for High School Theater Announced

The South Florida Critics’ Awards Program, or Cappies for short, celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, where the program was launched two decades ago.

Broadway in Fort Lauderdale has announced the Tony & Grammy Award-winning Broadway hit Beautiful—The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will make its Fort Lauderdale return to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for five performances June 17-19, 2022.

Straight No Chaser Announces 25th Anniversary Tour Dates

This fall, the group will kick off their “The 25th Anniversary Celebration” tour on October 20th in Deadwood, South Dakota, and will perform through New Year’s Eve, where the tour wraps up in Portland, OR. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts Announces 2022 Summer Theater Camps

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and The Performance Project School of the Arts have opened enrollment for Summer Theater Camp 2022 at the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center at the Broward Center, the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in Miami-Dade and at the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center at Nova Southeastern University.
