The Princeton Triangle Club is presenting two encore performances of its original musical-comedy extravaganza, Tropic Blunder, at the Tony Award-winning McCarter Theatre Center on Friday, May 27th at 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 28th at 7:00 PM.

RISE BAR is seeking its next RISING STAR! Hosted by Broadway's Marty Thomas (Xanadu, The Secret Garden, Wicked), the RISING STAR competition begins Sunday March 6! The contestants will be competing in a 10 week elimination style contest for a $1000 cash prize and paid bookings at RISE Bar with their respective solo show. In addition to its cash and prize package, RISING STAR is offering networking opportunities with guest celebrity judges, fantastic exposure and valuable live stage experience. Take a trip back in time to one of the greatest decades for pop music - the Eighties - with the Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra (HSO) at Totally 80s on Friday, May 6 at 7:30 pm. Maestro Stuart Chafetz conducts and hosts this jam-packed night that celebrates the music of the Eighties - a decade of fantastic music and fashion. Vocalists Aaron Finley and Nicole Parker join the HSO for songs made famous by icons such as Elton John, Phil Collins, TOTO, Cyndi Lauper, Sting, Lionel Ritchie, Michael Jackson and many more.

The inimitable Carol Channing was feted in style on Saturday night as the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California presented Carol Channing's 95th Birthday! In Celebration of a Broadway Legend. The star-studded performance was produced and directed by Chad Hilligus, with music direction and orchestrations by Steven Baker and choreography by Charlie Williams. Now gearing up for a string of national tour dates, Steel Union is set to serenade fans at New York's favorite music hotspot, Rockwood Music Hall, 196 Allen St, New York, NY 10002. Slotted for the 6pm slot on Monday, February 22, at Rockwood Stage 2, Rachel Potter, Josh Matheny and Donny Fallgatter will kick off an evening of music with some whiskey drinkin', boot stampin', tambourine shakin' Southern fun.

The World Premiere of BURNING DESIRE, a play written by and starring Lou Diamond Phillips (THE KING AND I) will be staged at Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury, CT. The production, directed by Richard Zavaglia and choreographed by Janine Molinari, begins previews tonight, February 18th, with an official opening set for February 20, 2016.

BroadwayWorld and The Muny announces today the directors, choreographers and music directors for the Muny's 2016 Season, which opens on June 13 with The Wizard of Oz.
