Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts today announced its ninth Broadway season lineup with new Title Sponsor AdventHealth. The AdventHealth Broadway in Orlando 22/23 series is presented by Dr. Phillips Center in partnership with Florida Theatrical Association and Broadway Across America. 

PNC Broadway in Kansas City, formerly the Kansas City Broadway Series, has announced PNC Bank as the new title sponsor for touring Broadway engagements at Music Hall and the Kauffman Center.

The Dramatists Guild of America has welcomed Adam Gwon and David Henry Hwang to its Council. The Guild is governed by a board of directors (Council) elected from its membership. These writers, in various stages of their theatrical careers, meet monthly to decide policy for the Guild.

Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) and Broadway Across America (BAA) announced today that single tickets for the First National Tour of Mean Girls— the record-breaking new musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures based on the hit film—will go on sale Friday, March 4. Dallas’ premiere engagement of Mean Girls will run May 3-15, 2022 at the Music Hall at Fair Park as part of the Germania Insurance Broadway Series presented by DSM.

Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles has announced that the final two weeks of the Salt Lake City engagement of HAMILTON (January 12 – 23, 2022) have been rescheduled. HAMILTON will now reopen Tuesday, February 1, 2022 and play through Sunday, February 13, 2022.

The National Tour of Ain't Too Proud officially kicked off at the Kennedy Center, after cancelling 15 performances due to COVID-19. Performances began on December 28 and continued through January 16.

This program will be dedicated to fostering and preserving a culture of equity, diversity, access and inclusion while providing an invaluable, in-depth education in the business of commercial theater.

Keen Company has announced its first musical commission: a new musical by Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days, Scotland, PA). Keen presented Gwon’s Ordinary Days in Fall of 2018 to great acclaim, including a nomination for the 2019 Drama League Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical (Broadway or Off-Broadway).
