The 2019-2020 Broadway season is in full gear! Thirty-eight productions have been announced so far to hit the Great White Way this season, so there is plenty for theatergoers to look forward to! With all such a variety of musicals and plays, new works and revivals, we're getting you prepared by giving you a peek at each of the productions announced to arrived on the Great White Way this season! American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Producer Diane Borger, announces the cast and creative team of SIX by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater celebrated GALA 2019 on Monday, June 10, 2019, raising $1.2 million for Chicago Shakespeare in Classrooms and Communities initiatives-which include the Tony Award-winning Theater's nationally recognized education programs and free citywide Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks tour.

Following last week's anticipated opening, Chicago Shakespeare Theater announces today the extension of the North American Premiere production of SIX, written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss--now playing in The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare.

Bow down to the queens of SIX. In this new musical from Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss (with direction from Moss and Jamie Armitage), the six wives of King Henry VIII are taking back their mics and sharing their stories-in the form of contemporary pop musical songs. This masterful musical sizzles with electric energy and endless delight. SIX remains a fiery and joyous theatrical affair without ever making light of the fact that the musical demonstrates how these six women are best remembered in history as 'belonging' to an infamous king. Yet SIX also brilliantly subverts this notion by reminding us that a huge part of Henry VIII's legacy stems from the fact that these six women were all his spouses. SIX posits that without this line-up of ex-wives, Henry VIII might not have left such an indelible mark on history.

Just like that the 2018 season ends at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, New York - and it ends with the empowering and mesmerizing production of Larry Gallagher's Beehive: The 60s Musical. First off, I am not a fan of 'jukebox musicals,' but I guess there is always an exception and it is this production at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival.

Concluding the 60th Anniversary season at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) is Beehive - The 60s Musical. The show runs September 21 through October 6 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park.
