Mothers, grab your daughters and run to see this production of Freaky Friday before it closes. I never expected such a well-crafted, intimate piece of theater from the people at Disney, but I am so glad I had the opportunity to see this gem.

Music Theatre Wichita continues its 2018 Season with the new Disney musical Freaky Friday. The third of five locally produced Broadway-scale productions, Freaky Friday plays July 11-15 at the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS.

Ten year old Dylynne Cosand from Bigfork has been chosen to portray the title character in Alpine Theatre Project's upcoming production of Matilda the Musical, based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl. The musical, part of ATP's 2018 Broadway Summer Season, will open July 7 and run in rotating repertory until July 20 at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center. Cosand was chosen after a statewide search to find a young actress to play the young Matilda, a a precocious and confident girl gifted with an extraordinary intellect.

Casting is announced today for Music Theatre Wichita's 47th Season, which includes including Sister Act, Guys and Dolls, Disney's Freaky Friday, Pippin, and Disney's The Little Mermaid.

The Syracuse University Department of Drama announced the six plays and musicals that will make up the 2018/2019 season. Music Theatre Wichita concludes its 2017 Season, "Hollywood to Broadway: A Summer Festival of Musical Theatre" with the regional premiere of Disney's Newsies. The lively season finale has an extended run, with performances August 11-20 in the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS. Newsies is part of the organization's 46th season, which is also the 30th season for producing artistic director Wayne Bryan, the final of five locally produced Broadway-scale productions.

Recent graduate of Florida State University's Musical Theatre program, Trevor Michael Schmidt is currently seizing the day in Music Theatre Wichita's production of 'Newsies' as 'Crutchie' the sickly boy with a big heart. Schmidt has been a company member in MTWichita's whole summer season and is wrapping up his stay in Kansas by telling the Newsboy strike of 1899.

This summer season, Alpine Theater Project (ATP) brings Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness to the Whitefish Performing Arts Center July 13th, 14th, 15th/ 20th, 21st, 22nd/ and 27th, 28th, 29th.

Great music, classics, comedy, a carnivorous space alien and a high-flying partnership with New York's 2 Ring Circus highlight the Syracuse University Department of Drama's 2017/2018 season. Now through November 20th, North Carolina Theatre is presenting their production without ripping off RLT. Spamalot is a highly irreverent spoof of the quest of King Arthur and and his Knights of the roundtable.
