The Lillys - in partnership with a broad coalition of theater artists - announced today that 3Views is shifting its mission: it will now serve as a digital archive, highlighting cancelled and waylaid productions, gathering reflections from theater makers, and spotlighting urgent and helpful initiatives.

The Bret Adams and Paul Reisch Foundation has announced the recipients of their special COVID-19 response grants for playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists who have had a full professional production cancelled, closed, or indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 closures.

All around the world artists and arts organizations have suddenly found themselves facing unprecedented circumstances. All large gatherings and live performances have been put on pause for the foreseeable future as we attempt to end this pandemic. This global health emergency has left many artists without a source of income, and unsure of when the strict social distancing and self-isolation rules will be lifted to allow for performances and gatherings to resume.

Two more emergency relief grants have been created to help members of the theater community amidst the current health crisis. 

In response to the recent closure of theaters due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Bret Adams and Paul Reisch Foundation has announced its decision to reinvent the means by which it will distribute the funds for their 2020 Idea Award for Theatre.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for the world premiere of Kenneth Lin's timely cautionary tale of capitalism run amok, Kleptocracy. Inspired by the power struggle between the richest of the Oligarchs and an ambitious Vladimir Putin after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Lin (House of Cards) explores U.S. - Russia relations then and now. Directed by Jackson Gay, and by special arrangement with Robert Ahrens, Mickey Liddell and Michael Mills, Kleptocracy runs January 18 - February 24, 2019 in the Kreeger Theater.

The Playwrights Realm (Katherine Kovner, Founding Artistic Director; Roberta Pereira, Producing Director) today announced that Alexis Williams, a former agent at Bret Adams Artists' Agency who has surefootedly assumed multiple roles within the theatre industry, will be joining the company's dynamic team as their first-ever Associate Artistic Director.

BRON announced today that Linda Cardellini, Academy Award nominee Matt Dillon, Golden Globe winner Kyle MacLachlan and Kathrine Narducci will join Academy Award nominee Tom Hardy in the Al Capone bio-pic Fonzo, written and to be directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle).

Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), today announced it has signed Starz Original series 'Vida' Showrunner and Executive Producer Tanya Saracho ('How to Get Away With Murder,' 'Looking,' 'Girls') to a three-year overall deal. Under the pact, Saracho will develop new projects for the network and continue as showrunner and executive producer on 'Vida.'

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) will present Bread and Roses, with book & lyrics by Jill Abramovitz and music by Brad Alexander, the third and final offering of Dare To Be Different, the previously announced series of new musicals and one-night only special events being held at A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street 10th Avenue & 53rd Street). Company of Fools (COF) is pleased to announce that Ilana Becker has been appointed to the new position of Associate Artistic Director. After conducting a national search that yielded more than 80 qualified applicants, Company of Fools' and Sun Valley Center for the Arts' leadership determined that Becker's expertise and passion for theatre made her the ideal candidate for the position. In her new role, Becker will assist newly promoted COF Artistic Director John Glenn and contribute to The Center's education initiatives and BIG IDEA programs. Glenn, who was recently honored with the 2016 Idaho Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts, assumed leadership of Company of Fools following the recent departure of his co-artistic director, Denise Simone.

Bruce Graham's play, Funnyman, wraps up the 2016 season at Circle Theatre. This will be Mr. Graham's seventh script produced at the theatre. Previous productions include Desperate Affection (2003); Moon Over the Brewery (2004); According to Goldman (2007); Dex and Julie Sittin' in a Tree (2008); Something Intangible (2010); and Stella and Lou (2014).
