Mirvish Productions will mark the life of Brent Carver by dimming the marquee lights of two theatres on Friday August 7 at 8PM - the Royal Alexandra, in which he performed his solo show of stories and songs in 1995; and the Princess of Wales, in which he starred as Gandalf in the world premiere production of The Lord of the Rings in 2006.

The Stratford Festival is devastated to learn of the death of Brent Carver, an actor of incomparable talent, winner of a Tony Award for his starring role in Kiss of the Spider Woman, and a long-time Stratford Festival company member.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, Tony Award winning actor Brent Carver has passed away at age 68. This evening, Carver's Broadway colleagues took to social media to celebrate his life and legacy.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Tony Award winning actor Brent Carver has passed away at age 68. Born in 1951, the Canadian actor Brent Carver was a star of both stage and screen.

Singing a selection of new Breithaupt Brothers songs and favorites, as well as a clutch of songs from Seeing Stars, will be rising cabaret star Marissa Mulder, the Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel, jazz trio Duchess, Broadway's Jeremy Kushnier, singer-songwriter Jamie Leonhart, cabaret spitfire Shelley McPherson, The Sweet Remains' Greg Naughton, and actors Michael Halling, Christian Campbell, Joan Hess, Chris Bolan, and Todd Gearhart.

Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino just announced key casting for the 2018 season of the Stratford Festival, including Seana McKenna as Julius Caesar, Andr Sills as Coriolanus, and Daren A. Herbert as Harold Hill, the 'Music Man.'

Kronborg is coming home. After a sold-out performance at Indian River in July, Confederation Centre is pleased to announce an encore concert performance of Kronborg 1582 - coming home to the Centre for one night only. The rock opera starring P.E.I.'s Aaron Hastelow as Hamlet will be presented on September 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Homburg Theatre.

Stratford Festival's Artistic Director, Antoni Cimolino is directing one production this season and it is Richard Brinsley Sheridan's THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL. Mounted on the Avon Theatre stage, this production boasts a fabulous company and a commentary on society that is far from outdated.
