Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).

What do you get when you cross Mad Libs with Clue, add a group of theatre vets, and sprinkle in a dash of philanthropy? Why, it must be VILLAIN: DEBLANKS! The comedy event, held at Feinstein's/54 Below, served as a benefit for the ACLU, with Billy Mitchell, who wrote the skeleton script for the show, serving as the night's emcee.

297965After a sold out performance in March, Villain: DeBlanks revisited Feinstein's/54 Below with an encore benefit to support the ACLU. Starring Bebe Neuwirth, Tony Sheldon, Brenda Braxton, Stephen Wallem, Dale Soules and Ben Rimalower, the event on May 31 was full of hijnks and shenanigans -- supporting a great cause.

On May 21st Cabaret Cares concluded with the annual Cabaret Cares Gala evening at The Metropolitan Room. After 9 months of cabaret shows, Cabaret Cares - the main fundraising event for Help Is On The Way Today, a non-for-profit organization that helps and assists children living with HIV And AIDS in New York City - ended with successful gala evening. Tony nominated Broadway actress and entrepreneur Brenda Braxton will celebrate the release of her first self-published title, The Little Black Book of Back Stage Etiquette, with a book signing at the Metropolitan Room (34 W. 22nd Street, NYC) on June 6th, 2017 from 2pm-5 pm.

The Connecticut premiere of Trav'lin - The 1930s Harlem Musical opens this weekend at Waterbury's Seven Angels Theatre, following productions at Houston's Ensemble Theatre and Fort Worth's Jubilee Theatre, and development in Washington, D.C. and New York City, including a sold-out run at the New York Musical Festival (NYMF).  Performances being Thursday, May 11, Official Opening is Saturday, May 13, and the show runs through Sunday, June 11, 2017.

Joseph Macchia, founder of Help Is on The Way Today, has announced the cast list and menu for Cabaret Cares' May 21st Annual Gala at Metropolitan Room.

The Q Returns on May 18th with a new time and new location. Thomas Dieter, Joseph Macchia and Shawn Moninger welcome back guest host Billy Likken.

Billy Mitchell's hilarious VILLAIN: DEBLANKS makes a triumphant New York City return tonight at Feinstein's/54 Below. Tonight's sold out show features Kathleen Turner, Morena Baccarin, Lesli Margherita, Michael Potts, Maulik Pancholy, and Micah Stock and will benefit New York Civil Liberties Union.

The complete cast is set for the upcoming Vermont Premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY, a gospel-infused play that will run at Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, VT. The show, directed by Jarvis Antonio Green, begins previews on November 3 and opens on November 5.
