Brenda Braxton and Richard McGonagle to Bring VILLAIN: DEBLANKS Benefit to Southern Maine
On Saturday, October 28, the fun happens in Southern Maine, and it benefits Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine as well as the evening's host: the Saco River Theatre. So grab a thesaurus and a few friends, and come laugh your (BODY PART)_____ off!
The one-night-only shenanigans will be led by Tony-nominee Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe's Café, SMASH), area resident and Hollywood actor, Richard McGonagle (500 Days of Summer), hilarious Off-Broadway dynamo Marissa Rosen (Tony & Tina's Wedding, Bedbugs the musical), Broadway funnyman Todd Buonopane (Cinderella, Chicago, 30 Rock) and The Originals co-founders Jennifer Porter and Dana Packard.
A Time Out NY Critics' Pick written by Billy Mitchell, Villain: DeBlanks is the uproarious improvisational comedy where the cast says words you put in their mouths. The audience provides nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. (the wilder, the better), and the actors provide the laughs-uncensored and unrehearsed-as they enact the story of Philip DeBlanks' untimely demise. It's "Clue" meets adult "Mad Libs," and it's never the same show twice.
