LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS announces that the sold-out production starring Jonathan Groff, Tammy Blanchard and Christian Borle has released eight additional weeks of tickets, now on sale through Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd St, NYC).

Over the course of a few years, director Rachel Chavkin has gone from being a staple of the off-Broadway scene to the director with one of the most distinctive and creative aesthetics on Broadway. That's just one of many ways that she proves she's in a league all her own.

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of André Bishop, has announced it will produce a new musical during its 2019-2020 season. FLYING OVER SUNSET, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, will feature choreography by Michelle Dorrance, and will begin previews March 12, 2020 and open on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton and Tony Yazbeck will head the cast with additional casting to be announced at a later date.

Hadestown announced today on ABC's “Good Morning America” that the show will launch a National Tour beginning in the Fall of 2020. In its first year, the tour will visit more than 30 cities coast to coast, including (alphabetically) Denver; Houston; Los Angeles; Minneapolis; New Orleans; Philadelphia; Tempe; and Washington, DC; with more to be announced shortly.

Two-time Tony Award nominee Jonathan Groff (Hamilton, Spring Awakening, 'Mindhunter') will play Seymour in the long-awaited revival, opposite Emmy Award winner Tammy Blanchard (Life with Judy Garland, Gypsy) as Audrey, and Tony Award winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten!, Falsettos) as Orin Scrivello D.D.S. Directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, American Idiot), the production begins previews Tuesday, September 17, with an official opening night of Thursday, October 17, at the Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd St). Tickets for Hadestown, the winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, are now on sale through July 5, 2020 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street).

Continuing their tradition of fostering new works, the world premiere of Alan Fox's new play runs at the charming East End venue through July 21st. Ghostlight Records has announced that the new musical cast album Alice By Heart is available for digital download and streaming today Friday, June 28. The CD release is planned for later this year. The album is based on the show's recent New York premiere production from MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director). Alice By Heart has a book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson; music by Duncan Sheik, lyrics by Steven Sater, and direction by Jessie Nelson.
