Mara Isaacs, Director of Project Springboard: Developing Dance Musicals, today announced the recipients of the second annual residency awards: Bhangin' It, led by Rehana Mirza (co-book writer), Mike Lew (co-book writer), Sam Wilmott (composer/lyricist), Rujuta Vaidya (choreographer), and Amy Anders Corcoran (director); and The Night Falls, led by Troy Schumacher (director/choreographer, New York City Ballet soloist), Ellis Ludwig-Leone (composer/co-lyricist), and Karen Russell (book writer/co-lyricist, MacArthur Award winner and Pulitzer finalist). Both projects will be in residence June 4-22, 2018 in New York City.

Jerry Joseph will release Full Metal Burqa (Cavity Search Records) on vinyl as a Record Store Day exclusive on April 21. In addition to Joseph, the 5-song album features his band, the Jackmormons, Steve Drizoson drums and Steven James Wright on bass.

GRAMMY Award-winning producer Fred Rister has announced the release of his final single, “I Want A Miracle (ft. Sam Martin & Chris Willis),” out today via Parametic Records and accompanied by an official music video (WATCH HERE). All proceeds from the single will benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.

Local rock band Red Letter Day was chosen as a winner of the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest (JLSC) for their original song, '202.'
