Birmingham Hippodrome has announced a line-up of new performances for 2025. The venue has also announced that next year’s pantomime will be the magical Panto adventure Robin Hood.

The dance production MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE, featuring music by Sting, will be available for online streaming. Discover the captivating choreography and storytelling from the comfort of your home.

Birmingham Hippodrome’s Panto Dame Extraordinaire Andrew Ryan enjoyed a festive trip to the Jewellery Quarter Christmas Lights on Friday evening (15 November), meeting with local panto fans and taking in the spectacular firework display which marked the Lights Switch On. See photos from the event.

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced Tinuke Craig as their new Associate Artistic Director. Tinuke’s extensive directing experience has seen her create work for the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare  Company, The Old Vic and Chichester Festival Theatre.

The National Youth Music Theatre has announced a rebrand, relocation to Birmingham, and a new vision aimed at empowering young talent, marking a significant shift in its strategic direction.

The cast has been announced for Irving Berlin's White Christmas at The Mill at Sonning, which runs 27 November - 25 January.

The Broadway and West End hit is currently touring the UK and comes complete with heavily sequinned costumes and set pieces so drenched in gold they could have been created by King Midas. It's a slightly uneven production, but there are enough wow moments to leave children wide-eyed with enchantment.

A landmark report has been commissioned into establishing the UK's first National Centre for Musical Theatre in the West Midlands.

Birmingham Hippodrome and Crossroads Pantomimes have announced further casting for their panto adventure, Peter Pan (Sat 21 Dec 2024 – Sun 2 Feb 2025). Star of stage and screen Danny Mac will return to Birmingham Hippodrome, this time to play Captain Hook after last appearing in the 2017/18 production of Cinderella as Prince Charming. 

The first ever World Tour of multi-award-winning hit stage show Moulin Rouge! The Musical, will come to Birmingham Hippodrome, its only engagement in the Midlands, with performances from Wednesday 15 October to Saturday 15 November 2025.

Full casting has been announced for the 2024/2025 UK and Ireland tour of the classic multi award-winning musical MARY POPPINS, opening at Bristol Hippodrome from 4 November 2024, returning to where the magic originally began and marking the 20th anniversary since the musical's world premiere.

GOYA Theatre Company, award-winning creators of contemporary Queer musical theatre will bring their hit show, Four Felons and a Funeral to Birmingham Hippodrome from Thursday 26 September – Saturday 28 September. The show is a raucous, road-trip rom-com, starring four emerging, LGBTQIA+ music theatre actors and is a must see for our Patrick Studio audiences this autumn.

Sonia Sabri Company (SSCo) will bring their latest show to Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre next month as part of a UK-wide tour.
