Black Ensemble Theater's Founder and CEO Jackie Taylor announces the 2015 "Stir Up The Pot" Season. The season opens with a World Premiere non-singing drama with music, The Trial of Moses Fleetwood Walker, by Ervin Gardner. The season continues with a new musical that highlights girl groups, past and present, Sounds So Sweet, followed by A Tribute to the Incomparable Bill Withers. The Black White Play is a tribute to Roger Ebert and the music will speak to his philosophy of life. The 2015 season will close with a Black Ensemble Theater classic in true Black Ensemble Theater-style, Dynamite Divas: Gladys, Aretha, Roberta, Nina and Nancy.

Award-winning songwriter Charles Fox, a longtime Fulfillment Fund board member along with his wife Joan Fox, created "The Songs of Our Lives" as an opportunity to combine entertainment and philanthropy in a meaningful way to support the Fulfillment Fund's important work in the community. Songwriters who have participated in The Songs of Our Lives include Academy and Grammy Award winning songwriters such as Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager, Marilyn and Alan Bergman, Hal David, Mac Davis, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, David Foster, Steve Karmen, Jerry Leiber, Kenny Loggins, Barry Mann, Alan Rich, Mike Stoller, Cynthia Weil, Paul Williams, Bill Withers, and many others. Freda Payne as well as Scherrie Payne and Lynda Laurence (Formerly of The Supremes) have been added to the program as well.
Dance Against Cancer raised more than $200,000 for the American Cancer Society on Monday, May 5, 2014. Proceeds from the evening will benefit research initiatives and patient and family service programs. More than 500 guests attended the fourth annual Dance Against Cancer. VIP guests enjoyed cocktails, preferred seating, and a gift bag in addition to the performance and post-event reception. The performance featured new work by Brian Reeder created for American Ballet Theatre's Isabella Boylston with New York City Ballet's Chase Finlay and Amar Ramasar, Paul Taylor Dance Company in its first appearance at the benefit, Charles 'Lil Buck' Riley performed with students from National Dance Institute, and included the NYC premiere of Justin Peck's Sea Change.
