Jilline Ringle Solo Performance Program Deadline Extended

1812 Productions has extended the deadline for submissions to The Jilline Ringle Solo Performance Program to Friday, May 18th, 2018. Now in its 12th year, The Jilline Ringle Solo Performance Program is dedicated to supporting the creation, development and production of work by female solo artists across a variety of disciplines-theater, performance art and cabaret.

Lantern Theater Company Presents THE TEMPEST By William Shakespeare

Lantern Theater Company continues its record-smashing 24th season with The Tempest by William Shakespeare. Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon will direct a cast that includes some of Philadelphia's finest actors: Chris Anthony, Peter DeLaurier, J Hernandez, Dave Johnson, John Lopes, Bi Jean Ngo, Ruby Wolf, and Frank X. Performances run Thursday, March 15 through Sunday, April 29, 2018; a full schedule is included in the fact sheet below. 2015 Philadelphia Barrymore Awards Winners Announced - Ben Dibble, Liz Filios, THE WHALE and More!

This evening, in a celebration attended by almost 750 theatre artists, staff, critics, and friends, Theatre Philadelphia distributed 26 awards at the 2015 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre - now in its second successful season since relaunching in fall 2013. The Awards Ceremony was held at the Merriam Theater, followed by an After-Party at Dorrance Hamilton Hall at the University of the Arts. A full list of award recipients is below.

Shakespeare in Clark Park celebrates its 10th Anniversary with The Winter's Tale, Shakespeare's tragicomedy of family and forgiveness. Director Kittson O'Neill (InterAct Theatre Company, Hedgerow Theatre) helms the company of professional actors along with a chorus of over 30 Philadelphia-area children. The Winter's Tale opens under the stars in 'the Bowl' of Clark Park today, July 29 and runs through August 2. All performances are at 7 p.m.
