BWW Review: FUN HOME Tour Brings Superb Story to Denver Center

There's wiping a tear from your eye during an emotional performance, and then there's mopping up buckets of tears from your shirtsleeve for most of the show. For me, Fun Home was the latter.

Tony Award-nominees Carolee Carmello (Parade, Scandalous), Mary Testa (Xanadu, 42nd Street, On the Town), Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde, Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark), with Beth Malone (Fun Home) and Jill Paice (An American in Paris), are set to star in Town Hall's Broadway by the Year Series on Monday, February 27 at 8pm, The Broadway Musicals of the 1920s.

For her work in Fun Home, Malone received a Tony Award nomination as Best Actress in a Musical.

She went on to originate roles in DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES and LENNON before winning her breakout role as Nina in Lin-Manuel Miranda's IN THE HEIGHTS, a role she originated in the show's pre-Off Broadway days.
