THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director are thrilled to announce that the first show of its 2017-2018 season, the smash-hit, critically acclaimed world premiere of STUPID KID, written by acclaimed playwright Sharr White (The Other Place) and directed by Cameron Watson (Cat on A Hot Tin Roof). STUPID KID is EXTENDING through SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3 at the Road Theatre on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood. After 14 years in prison for a crime he swears he didn't commit, Chick returns home to find his flat-broke family under the thumb of his dangerous Unclemike. A rollicking Gothic Western tale of a family isolated by shame, STUPID KID explores power, guilt and the limits of maternal love.

Drama Desk Award-winning and Emmy-nominated playwright Eugene Pack will direct a staged reading of his hilarious new comedy The Poets of Amityville.

Evening Star Productions will kick off their newest project, Sol After Dark, with a one-act adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth. The production, which will run for just three days from October 26th to 28th is the first of what Evening Star's Artistic Director Rosalie Grant says will be something a little off the beaten theatre path for those hungry for a different bite of theatre.

In celebration of the upcoming sixth and final season of The Mindy Project, The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills will showcase the bold color palette and trendsetting style of the critically acclaimed Hulu original comedy series, in an immersive and first-of-its-kind exhibit curated by the series' Emmy-nominated Costume Designer and President of the Costume Designers Guild, Salvador Perez, that will run exclusively at the Paley Center beginning August 26, 2017.
