HADESTOWN Comes to the Schuster Center in March

Review: DISCO PIGS, Alphabetti Theatre

Enda Walsh’s abrasive, poetic two-hander, Disco Pigs is a bullet-train ride of extremes. Two 17-year-olds, Pig (Ben Gettins) and Runt (Amy McAllister) are best friends born just seconds apart in the same hospital. Hurling their angst at each other (and the audience) for just under an hour, the pair navigate the throws of teendom, clinging to their friendship for dear life.

San Francisco Opera Announces 2024–25 Season Including CARMEN, LA BOHÈME and More

The 2024–25 Season includes six mainstage opera productions along with concert presentations including a one-night-only performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony on October 26, honoring the work's 200th anniversary and, in the summer of 2025, a special Pride Concert celebrating San Francisco's LGBTQIA+ community.

Blue Finch Films Boards Sales On SXSW Selected COLD WALLET

UK based sales and distribution outfit Blue Finch Films has boarded worldwide rights to thriller COLD WALLET directed by Cutter Hodierne. The film stars Raul Castillo (Cassandro), Melonie Diaz (The First Purge), with Tony Cavalero (The Righteous Gemstones), and Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), as well as Zoe Winters (Succession).

Review: TURNING THE SCREW, King's Head Theatre

English composer Benjamin Britten is writing The Turn of the Screw. Based on a novella by Henry James, it follows the worries of a young governess sent to the countryside to take care of a pair of children. As Britten is building his melodies, the government is working hard to shut down the influence of what they call “high profile homosexuals’’ (think John Gielgud and friends).
