In celebration of the fall returns of hit music dramas EMPIRE and STAR, Fox Broadcasting Company and parent company 21st Century Fox have teamed up with Turnaround Arts, a national program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, for a new social campaign. The UK produced horror drama, RedCon-1, from executive producer Carlos Gallardo (Desperado, El Mariachi, Once Upon a Time in Mexico), producer Frank Miller (Sin City; A dame to kill for and co-creater of Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles) and directed by Chee Keong Cheung (Underground, Bodyguard: A New Beginning) will premier in UK cinemas later this month.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.)Conservatory Director Melissa Smith announced today that honorary Master of Fine Arts degrees will be conferred on A.C.T. Artistic Director Carey Perloff, as well as acclaimed actors, directors, and teaching artists Steven Anthony Jones and Gregory Wallace. Perloff, Jones, and Wallace will receive their degrees at the graduation ceremony for the A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts Program class of 2018 on Monday, May 21 at 11 a.m. at A.C.T.'s Geary Theater (415 Geary Street, San Francisco).

Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Lee Daniels - creator and executive producer of broadcast's No. 1 series, EMPIRE - partners with Tom Donaghy ('The Whole Truth') to pull back the curtain on music's gritty and dark reality in STAR. Pamela Oas Williams also serves as executive producer. Karin Gist is an executive producer and serves as showrunner of the series.
