The 2021 Adelaide Festival curated by Artistic Directors Rachel Healy and Neil Armfield has seen an energising and inspiring seventeen day event unfold. With two days still to go and despite challenges of border closures, COVID safe-plans and last-minute changes, the Adelaide Festival has surpassed its box office target (of $2.77 million) so far achieving a total box office income in excess of $3.7 million (figure is inclusive of umbrella shows, but does not include WOMADelaide).

Sunset Piazza – an Italo-themed summer pop-up stage – will come alive from 28 January to 21 March with a series of performances spanning contemporary pop, comedy, hip hop and indie rock with tickets to all events only $25.

Scottish indie-pop rockers Astrid are back with a brand new album after a 14-year hiatus, Fall, Stand, Dance, to be released April 12 on Edwyn Collins' AED Records, premiering a first single “Poison Reaction” via Buzzbands.LA, prior to its official release on February 22 – share via Soundcloud.
