The 2021 Adelaide Festival curated by Artistic Directors Rachel Healy and Neil Armfield has seen an energising and inspiring seventeen day event unfold. With two days still to go and despite challenges of border closures, COVID safe-plans and last-minute changes, the Adelaide Festival has surpassed its box office target (of $2.77 million) so far achieving a total box office income in excess of $3.7 million (figure is inclusive of umbrella shows, but does not include WOMADelaide).

The NSW Government and City of Sydney have unveiled a new COVID-safe, pop-up outdoor performance venue and concert series. Sunset Piazza – an Italo-themed summer pop-up stage – will come alive from 28 January to 21 March with a series of performances spanning contemporary pop, comedy, hip hop and indie rock with tickets to all events only $25.

Adam Schlesinger was a prodigious and prolific songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. He died on April 1 at the age of 52 as the result of complications from COVID-19.

Today Maria Taylor has revealed the official for 'Spinning Wheel' with Under The Radar. The track is from her self-titled album out now on Flower Moon Records. About the video Maria Taylor says, 'One of my best friends and long time collaborators, Alan Tanner, directed this video. I love how the video accentuates the dance element of the song. He always adds a sense of levity and humor to his work and I can never watch an Alan Tanner video without smiling.'

Singer-songwriter Maria Taylor will release her self-titled album next Monday, November 11th. She will be in New York City on November 7th & 8th in support of the record and to perform at Underwater Sunshine Festival at Rockwood Music Hall.

Star of the TV sitcom a?oeHow I Met Your Mothera?? and the film Happythankyoumoreplease, Bexley native Josh Radnor returns to Columbus to perform a benefit concert in support of Friends of the Drexel with music project Radnor & Lee, his indie-folk music duo with singer/songwriter Ben Lee.

Scottish indie-pop rockers Astrid are back with a brand new album after a 14-year hiatus, Fall, Stand, Dance, to be released April 12 on Edwyn Collins' AED Records, premiering a first single “Poison Reaction” via Buzzbands.LA, prior to its official release on February 22 – share via Soundcloud.  Led by songwriters Willie Campbell and Charlie Clark, Fall, Stand, Dance was recorded in Los Angeles, where Clark now resides, produced by Eric McCann (The New Amsterdams) and mixed by long time Astrid collaborator Tony Doogan(Belle and Sebastian/Mogwai/Delgados).

Broadway and concert star Daniel Reichard returned to his 52nd Street roots, where he originated the role of Bob Gaudio at the August Wilson Theatre in the Original Broadway Cast of JERSEY BOYS, with his eleventh New York City holiday show.
