The Lied Center will welcome talented students from Nebraska and beyond to arts summer camps in 2022!

It was a long road to create 'The Cartography Project' - some 20 months, says Kennedy Center president Deborah Rutter - dating back to the national and international uprisings following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. But, she said, in exploring the role that art and artists can play in social change, 'process is as important as performance.'

The cast includes Rose Matafeo, Nikesh Patel, Emma Sidi, Joe Barnes, Al Roberts, Ambreen Razia, Alice Snedden, Lola-Rose Maxwell, Nic Sampson, Edward Easton, Parth Thakerar, Jordan Stephens and Minnie Driver. Watch the new trailer now!

Lance Ringel’s most recent novel, Floridian Nights, has been named a Finalist for both a 2022 Lambda Literary Award and a Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award.  The announcements were made even as Ringel’s new play, Flash/Frozen, continues its run at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in New York City.

Chalk it up to Cabaret being the show that wouldn't die when I was in college - cast as a chorus member, it was a grueling rehearsal period and extended run, then we won American College Theater Festival for our region and had to come back early from winter break to recreate it, it literally went on for a good two thirds of my sophomore year. Some of the songs can give me PTSD. True fact.

Minneapolis Musical Theatre is returning to the proverbial stage this spring with 'Hands on a Hardbody.' The musical, about 10 hard-luck Texans vying to win a new pickup truck as part of a radio contest, will be produced in the showroom at Luther Cadillac April 22-May 8, 2022.

Announced today is Millennials Are Killing Musicals, a new musical written by NAMT and Drama League Award-winner Nico Juber, which will receive an industry reading on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11:00am and 2:00pm at Open Jar Studios, and will be presented in a public concert on Monday, April 4th at 9:30pm at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

BOOMERANG THEATRE COMPANY has announced the world premiere production of Adam Kraar’s THE KARPOVSKY VARIATIONS, directed by Tasha Gordon-Solmon.
