In his newest one-man autobiographical play, Gallagher explores his life through the lens of his search for 'home' and love of music. Veteran B Street company member David Pierini plays Jeff, a recovering alcoholic wanting to reconnect with his estranged adult daughter Margo after three years of silence. But Jeff's seemingly simple plan-to heal old wounds by bringing Margo a turtle on her birthday-proves more difficult and demanding than he ever imagined.

This family drama, which originated as one of Aurora Theatre Company's Global Age Project (GAP) finalists in 2011, is the third main stage production to develop from the GAP. OUR PRACTICAL HEAVEN plays tonight, January 25 through March 3 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley.
