The B Street Theatre presents the West Coast Premiere of Carapace, by David Mitchell Robinson for its B3 Series. Veteran B Street company member David Pierini plays Jeff, a recovering alcoholic wanting to reconnect with his estranged adult daughter Margo after three years of silence. But Jeff's seemingly simple plan-to heal old wounds by bringing Margo a turtle on her birthday-proves more difficult and demanding than he ever imagined.

Originally directed by acclaimed Broadway actress Judith Ivey, Carapace received its World Premiere at Atlanta's Tony-winning ALLIANCE THEATRE in 2011. Robinson is an up-and-coming young playwright who recently received his MFA from Ohio University. His plays have been developed by the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC. Since the inception of the B3 Series, B Street has produced twenty-two Regional Premieres, three West Coast Premieres including Carapace, and one American Premiere.

Carapace is the third show of B Street's 2012-2013 B3 Series.
