Work Light Productions launches the National Tour of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL tonight, September 29, in Owensboro, KY.

Work Light Productions has announced the complete cast for the National Tour of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL.

Hundreds of thousands of Michiganders will be focused on the radiant Motor City New Year's Eve D as it makes its descent starting at 11:59 p.m. tonight, December 31 in Detroit's Cadillac Square. Voices will unite to count down the final seconds of the year and celebrate a new beginning full of hope, dreams and new aspirations.

The installation for the 'D' will begin tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 27 at 10:30 AM before hundreds of thousands of Michiganders watch it make its descent starting at 11:59 p.m. December 31 in Detroit's Cadillac Square. Handmade in Detroit by the Nordin Brothers, this glittering starburst sculpture, emblazoned with a D, will descend twice on NYE -- once for a Kids' Drop at 6:30 p.m., and again for the official drop at 11:59 p.m.

The 6th Annual National High School Musical Theater Awards presented the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor last night, June 30 at Broadway's Minskoff Theater, to Jai' Len Josey representing the Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards and Jonah Rawitz, representing the Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards. Ryan McCartan, 2011 Jimmy Award winner, will host the 2-hour talent showcase that features dynamic ensemble and solo performances.

Ryan McCartan, 2011 Jimmy Award winner, will host the 2-hour talent showcase that features dynamic ensemble and solo performances. McCartan recently starred as JD in the Off-Broadway hit musical, Heathers, appears regularly as Diggy in Liv & Maddie on the Disney Channel, and is a recurring character on the USA Network's Royal Pains. The event will be held at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W. 45th St) and begins at 7:30 pm.
