On July 18, the Next To Normal tour pulled into Toronto, where it will play through July 30. Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Next to Normal, reprises her acclaimed performance in the musical's 36-week multi-city North American tour. On July 6th Donny and Marie took Toronto by storm with their revamped Vegas show Donny and Marie Live! The pair tore up the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts with hits both old and new, as well as memorable Broadway tunes, pop songs and good old fashioned banter. On June 27th Toronto celebrated the 32nd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards which honour excellence in Canada theatre. BWW was on hand for the complete event, including the VIP reception where nominees mingled with sponsors and patrons, the award show itself and of course, the happening after-party which shut down Front St for most of the night. Harold Prince & Susan Stroman to Direct THE PRINCE OF BROADWAY Revue; Toronto First

Lead producers Aubrey Dan, Martyn Hayes and Peter W. Lamb for Dancap Productions Inc., have announced the creative team for PRINCE OF BROADWAY, a new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold 'Hal' Prince. PRINCE OF BROADWAY is in development now, aiming for a Toronto production in the summer of 2012, prior to opening on Broadway that fall.

Jersey Boys has been a smash hit musical ever since it opened on Broadway in 2006. Critically acclaimed and warmly received by the public, the show now has productions running in many different cities, including a very successful and wonderfully talented Canadian Cast. The Toronto Production comes to a close this Sunday August 22nd, 2010 after two years at the Toronto Centre for the Arts. Toronto's 'Jersey Boys' Extends Again

Toronto's Jersey Boys announced today that the production will extend through to May 23, 2010. In addition, the cast and crew are participating in fundraising efforts with 'Raising the Roof' and are helping give back to the community this winter.
