Natalia Osipova & Ivan Vasiliev to Return to Segerstrom Center 7/25-27

Segerstrom Center for the Arts welcomes the return of dance superstars Natalia Osipova and Ivan Vasiliev in just four performances from July 25 - 27. The program, titled Solo for Two, includes a world premiere commissioned for them by the Center and two works new to their repertoires and never seen before in the United States. Osipova and Vasiliev have enthralled audiences with their incomparable talent and irresistible personalities, capturing the admiration and imaginations of dance audiences around the world. At the Center, they have appeared in Don Quixote with the Bolshoi Ballet in 2010, in the 2009 Tour de Force dance gala and Reflections in 2011. In 2012, Osipova returned to the Center, starring in the world premiere of Alexei Ratmansky's production of Firebird for American Ballet Theatre. In 2011, Vasiliev danced in the second Kings of the Dance.

Ballet Black Returns to Exeter Northcott with A DREAM WITHIN A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Now thru May 28

Cassa Pancho's award-winning Ballet Black return to the Exeter Northcott Theatre for the fourth time as they celebrate the talents of black and Asian dancers from around the world, Founded in 2001 Ballet Black has achieved great success and garnered numerous awards, including the 2012 Critics Circle National Dance Award for Best Independent Company. A DREAM WITHIN A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM is set for today, 27 and Wed 28 May 2014.

Arthur Pita to Premiere THE WORLD'S GREATEST SHOW at Ip-Art Festival in July

Award-winning director & choreographer Arthur Pita is set to premiere THE WORLD'S GREATEST SHOW*, a new dance theatre event exploring the phenomenon of dance marathons in 1930s America. Opening at Greenwich Dance on Friday 27 & Saturday 28 June, the production will be performed at Ipswich Corn Exchange as part of the Ip-Art Festival on Friday 11 & Saturday 12 July, culminating with a performance at the Paul Hamlyn Hall, Royal Opera House on Sunday 27 July.

Known to dance audiences for his muscular physicality and fine fado singing - particularly as the prodigal son in Arthur Pita's 'God's Garden' - and to West End audiences from his dazzling performance in 'Cabaret' at the Savoy Theatre and his inventive, physical theatre role in 'The Light Princess' at the National Theatre, Nuno returns to his first love, the fado music of Portugal in his own show A Darker Shade of Fado which kicks off a UK tour at the Lighthouse in Poole on April 26th.

Alexandra Burke Joins Cast Of THE BODYGUARD From June!

On 2 June this year, Alexandra Burke will join the cast of the hit West End musical The Bodyguard, to play the leading role of Oscar-nominated superstar Rachel Marron. Burke will play opposite Tristan Gemmill who continues in the role of Rachel's bodyguard, Frank Farmer.

Following the recent confirmation that Beverley Knight will be leading MEMPHIS in the West End, the star has set her departure date from THE BODYGUARD for May 31. Now, The Daily Mail reports that The X Factor's 2008 champion Alexandra Burke will take her place at the Adelphi Theatre, beginning June 2.

THE DEATH OF KLINGHOFFER, LA DONNA DEL LAGO, THE MERRY WIDOW and More Set for The Metropolitan Opera's 2014-15 Season

The Metropolitan Opera's 2014-15 season will feature 26 operas, three of them company premieres, in six new productions and 18 revivals showcasing the talents of the world's leading singers, conductors, and theater artists. The three operas that will have their first-ever Met performances, each staged by a director making his Met debut, are John Adams's The Death of Klinghoffer, conducted by David Robertson and directed by Tom Morris, opening October 20; Rossini's La Donna del Lago, conducted by Michele Mariotti and directed by Paul Curran, opening February 16, 2015; and Tchaikovsky's one-act opera Iolanta, conducted by Valery Gergiev and directed by Mariusz Treli?ski. Iolanta will be presented in a double bill with a new staging of Bartok's one-act Duke Bluebeard's Castle, also conducted by Gergiev and directed by Treli?ski.

THE BODYGUARD Up for BBC Radio 2 Audience Award at Olivier Awards 2014

The Bodyguard has been announced as one of the 16 West End productions eligible to receive the BBC Radio 2 Audience Award at this year's Olivier Awards 2014 ceremony on 13 April. The Audience Award is the only Olivier Award decided entirely by members of the public. Voting, which is now open, is at www.olivierawards.com/vote On 4 March four shortlisted productions will be announced. The winning show will then be announced, along with the rest of the winners, on the night of the ceremony at the Royal Opera House.

THE BODYGUARD Extends Books to August 2014

Starring Beverley Knight as Rachel Marron and Tristan Gemmill as Frank Farmer and based on Lawrence Kasdan's 1992 Oscar nominated Warner Bros. film, Thea Sharrock's hit West End production of The Bodyguard announces the release of over 300,000 tickets for sale, taking booking at the Adelphi Theatre to30 August 2014.
