Sadler's Wells has announced its Autumn / Winter 2016 Season.

Linda Shelton, Executive Director of The Joyce Theater, announced today the organization's programming for its 2016-2017 fall/winter season, which promises to be particularly spectacular, with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, Lucinda Childs Dance Company, and Martha Graham Dance Company all returning to The Joyce for two-week engagements.

Tony Award winners Janet McTeer and Liev Schreiber will return to Broadway this Fall in the Donmar Warehouse production of Les Liaisons Dangereusesby Christopher Hampton, directed by the Donmar's Artistic Director Josie Rourke. The production begins performances on Saturday, October 8, 2016 and will open on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th St). This is a 15-week only engagement through Sunday, January 22, 2017.

Today Festival Director Fergus Linehan unveiled the 2016 Edinburgh International Festival programme. This year's International Festival runs from Friday 5 to Monday 29 August, welcoming 2,442 artists from 36 nations to perform in Scotland's capital city. 

Ballet Black, a company for international dancers of black and Asian descent, collaborates with three bold and inventive choreographers to present an irresistible trilogy of narrative and abstract dance at the Barbican Theatre. BroadwayWorld has photos of the dancers onstage below!

Award-winning director & choreographer Arthur Pita returns to Sadler's Wells this Christmas with his magical dance theatre show for all the family, The Little Match Girl. Based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic story, this tale of a young street girl's hopes and dreams is beautifully told through dance, song and original live music. Following its successful sell-out season last Christmas, the show opens at the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler's Wells on 12 December and runs through until 3 January 2016. Suitable for ages 5+.

At a special reception at the House of Lords today 17 November 2015, kindly hosted by the Bishop of Birmingham The Right Reverend David Urquhart (in his capacity as a Trustee of Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre Trust), DanceXchange and Birmingham Hippodrome officially launched International Dance Festival Birmingham 2016.

This summer's hot dance ticket will be the ARDANI 25 DANCE GALA at the Coliseum on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July, presented by producer and impresario Sergei Danilian (Ardani Artists). The evening features an all-star line-up including Natalia Osipova, Edward Watson, Ivan Vasiliev, Marcelo Gomes, Denis Matvienko, Joaquin De Luz and Friedemann Vogel in three exciting and diverse contemporary pieces.

Arthur Pita returns to Sadler's Wells following the huge success of Mischief, a family show created in collaboration with Theatre Rites, which also enjoyed a season on Broadway. New York City Center's 2014-15 season features an exciting lineup of dance and musical theater that begins with the 11th season of City Center's acclaimed Fall for Dance Festival. The Festival features 24 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, and will kick off in September with two free dance performances at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park in association with The Public Theater, followed by five unique programs at City Center in October. The Band Wagon, an Encores! Special Event starring Brian Stokes Mitchell, follows in November, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns for a month-long engagement in December.
